Jay Electronica Announces “Act II: Patents Of Nobility” Completion

Jay Electronica has announced the completion of his oft-delayed project Act II: Patents of Nobility.

Breaking the news on Twitter, Jay Elec thanked his supporters and said that the LP will be handed over to the label tomorrow evening. “Dear Believers and Patient Supporters. Thank you for your patience and support. The Album will be turned in Tomorrow evening. The wait ends,” he wrote.

Jay had previously announced the completion of the LP in July 2011, revealing that there is a track called “Road to Perdition” featuring Jay-Z and that only a handful of people had heard the project in its entirety.

He has been relatively quiet since he announced his signing to Roc Nation in November 2010. He most recently released “Call of Duty: MW3” featuring Prodigy in October 2011.

Dear Believers and Patient Supporters. Thank you for your patience and support. The Album will be turned in Tomorrow evening. The wait ends.

    2. In the late 80’s early 90’s it was some what of a Norm 4 Artist to take 2-3 yrs between projects to give on growth for reflection. Now with the saturated garbage market Art is Rushed. However Its better to Pace ur self not Race ur self.
Music is Timeless…Patience is a Virtue.

      1. That is not entirely true, most of the classics from the 80’s and 90’s took less than a year to gather beats and just a few months to record. The dilemma faced by artists like Jay Electronica is:
. Will It be a classic?
. Will he go gold with It (Most Hip Hop classics have reached at least gold certification with the exception of a few such as Enta Da Stage and other more recent albums)?
. Will He get dropped from Roc Nation, If It flops after being under the label for about a year and a half(and releasing very little)?

      1. same amount of time it will take you to leave your mom’s house. Who cares how long it takes there’s no rule on how long it takes to record an album and if you know anything about recording music you would know what goes behind a project to get it out. This guy drops classics so i don’t care how long it takes, it’s going to be good

    7. Yeeeeehawwwww! Im telln u what boy, imma sit down and have some chicken feet while sippin on some moonshine when this drops!

    9. haha people are hating, typical. Jay Electronica is 35, if ya’ll didn’t know, but still, most important, he’s taken his time, as per Jay-Z, to develop as an artist, and put together some material that everyone should know, will be real hip-hop and will be a classic. I can’t wait, it was like christmas when I read his tweets at work this morning. PEACE!

THEM YMCMB LAME ASS, WACK, LOSERS YA’LL SUCK AGAIN, AND LOSE AGAIN to the MIGHTY ROC NATION EMPIRE!!!!!!

    13. I am ready for this album. I’m glad he waited because it will be a classic. Music with a message takes time to create people. This album will be so worth it. PEACE!

    14. He’s never said he was turning it in. He said it was finished.

TheGod can’t make whack shit. What people don’t understand is this man has a global presence -the kind of presence “superstars” need a few gold/platinum albums to get.

He got it from being with the PEOPLE; from travelling; from, really, grass roots campainging.

At worst, it’ll be an album full of some of the dopest rhymes you’ve ever heard.

At best, it’ll actually TRANSFORM shit.

    15. K. I’m as pumped about this album as anyone. I heard him first a few years ago, on “renaissance man” I believe, and fell in love. Watched him grow since then and have been straight up dying for this album for at least a year and a half now. This is not taking anything away from Jay Elec.

But, fa real, stop fucking talking about him like hes going to “save hip hop.” He may participate heavily in the revolution. he may be at the forefront. and he may be the best rapper in twenty years. But hip hop does not need saving. If you think hip hop needs saving, youre a lazy fan. THere is SO MUCH good hip hop right now. Huge truckloads of fucking amazing, diverse, fantastic music.

You are the most spoiled fans. Try being a fan of another genre. Specific ass, devided up, slow, narrow genres that churn out so little music, you wouldnt believe. Hip hop is alive and well and saying its dead is the only thing killing it.

      1. It’s not hip hop thats the problem, its the fans have dissapeared into the night. The real heads don’t fall for all that watered down commercialization of the game
So I’m just wondering if J,elct feels he needs to become apart of this to be considered successful.

    16. Let’s just pray that the album doesn’t get shelved waiting for the “right time” to release it. Been waiting a LONG ass time for this!

    17. 40 year old never was bullshit LIES LIES LIES… maybe it will actually be released before he’s 50?

    18. Im glad to hear that jay elec and i do consider you, and kendrick lamar, as rap messiahs, buuuuuut,

I have seriously lost faith in just blaze these last 3-4 years and if the saigon album is anything to judge by, the soundscape will destroy the potential cultural impact/movement this album could create.
The roc nation stamp dont help either, j.cole album nowhere close to the product we hoped for from the quality of the mixtapes.

I fear the very same people (s.carter and j.blaze) that are going to “help” make jay elec larger and more accesible to the average music consumer will be the same who ultimately makes this album much less of what it could have been.
It could have been worse of course, he could have signed to bad boy….

    19. Just read the title and grabbed a bag of popcorn about to be entertained by the comments and……go!!!
