    1. im not feelin cole…what is his background? where is dude from? his delivery is nice but his lyrics are just words put together like tell us about yourself what was your struggle to get to where u at today or were u born rich are you even from here the U.S.? He dont rep shit

      1. When did you start listening to him ??? He reps Fayetteville Carolina , but he was born in Germany. Try listening to the Come Up and the Warm Up before you diss the nigga .

      2. listen to his old shit and catch up he already give his resume to hip hop with 3 mixtapes his debute being a #1 chart hit

    2. This is so dope: the old-school feel to it is so much better than if they had gone for a “hard” song as their collabo.

    3. This is hot, I’m glad all the younger artist are working together like this. Checkout thegrandreport, they got some good stuff on there too

    4. This is really good. J.Cole is making me want to hear his album more than Kanye’s. Not sure what I’ll checkout first. this is a really good song.

    5. Back 2 the Future type shit. I’m excited for this kid all over again. #bornsinner2013

    6. If u cant see the greatness in this song, you should take a long look in the mirror and admit you are personally responsible for the death of hip hop

      1. There is no greatness in this song. It is a decent song. Nice lyricism, decent beat. When people see these 2 together, you expect something more. This isn’t bad, but certainly not “great”

      2. If you think this song is “amazing” or “perfect” then you need to take a long look in the mirror and admit you are personally responsible for the death of hip hop by praising mediocrity. This song is average, at best.

    7. ELECTRIC RELAXATION SAMPLE NIGGAS (ONE OF THE GREATEST BEAT OF ALL TIME) J COLE KILLED THIS SHIT!!!!

    8. Cole found his lane on this album. This song is particularity unique. idk it just sounds way different than everything else out there nowadays.

Some of the subject matter on Born Sinner reminded me of Drake’s “Take Care” album but darker.

      Cole delivered. I am impressed.

Overall it’s an A- and more well rounded than any hip hop album lately along with Kendrick’s GKMC.

    9. I’m guessing most of the people listening to this are 14-17 year olds and never heard the original version of this song. This is simplistic GARBAGE compared to the original A Tribe Called Quest “Electric Relaxation” song that uses this sample. Kanye West and Consequence also made a version of that song and it absolutely shit on this. You people only like this because you’re kids and haven’t heard the original. I’m not impressed by this bullshit.

      Tribe version http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9B7rxtxZs4

      Kanye and Cons http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c28vo_Ep1T0

    10. A Tribe Called Quest sample. Although not original… I do like the song. Wish Kdot had a verse. I’d still bump this.

    12. I cant believe you guys ride his jock so damn hard. the best one two punch was wayne and tyga with faded. that got the club hopping. and yall know wayne the beast. j cole born sinner is based on waynes lyrics “i am a sinner and im probably going to sin again. lord forgive me”
      ya damn bish

      1. These two rappers are under rated. They know how to talk about real life shit. Not just using drugs, drinking, and fucking hoes like what stupid fake rappers talk about today

    13. best beat ever and two of the best around perfect… course it wuda been better with kdot verse but appreciate song anyway!!!!!

    14. born sinner dope, only negative comment is there is a few female topic related songs

she knows, runaway, land of the snakes etc good though

      1. yeah fuck rapping about females he shoulda kicked a few rhymes about kissing his daddy and sucking cocks

      2. Anonymous:
yeah fuck rapping about females he shoulda kicked a few rhymes about kissing his daddy and sucking cocks

        your 1 weirdo

    15. ahhhhh this shit smooth! Old school vibes with a new school energy to it. Cole and Kendrick = future legend.

If Biggie was rapping this shit word for word with the same flow ya’ll would be calling it a classic and wouldn’t hate at all. Hard to be a rapper in ’13.

Cole’s melodies are so damn dope

    16. ITS MMG FOH LIFE. MILL THE SECOND COMING!! ROSS BE THE BAWSE A THAT MMG CLICK!! WALE COMING SOON!!! ITS THE TAKE OVER 4 YALL BITCHES…NO NEW FRIENDS CAUSE DOUBLE M GOT THAT WORK!!! FUCK YOUR FAVORITE RAPPER OR GROUP!!!!

    17. I just listened to the album from first to last track and it’s very mediocre and boring. J Cole has nothing to rap about. Most of the songs are about either stealing someone elses girl, girls being hoes, or how many girls he slept with because he’s famous. The beats are average and forgettable…I think there are only one or two songs on there that have concepts outside of that, and they’re not that interesting. Was interested in hearing “Let Nas down” but the song is a waste with no lesson learned, or real point to the song. The skits are useless and not funny…Bad, very bad.

      1. Coming from the guy who DOWNLOADED the album. Cause I know damn well that you didn’t buy it. STFU! You have no right to critic!

    18. Whatever this song is talking about it doesn’t make sense that two grow men make a song called forbidden fruit lol

    19. I hate when people say most songs on this are about girls, if you look deeper into each track its more then just girls. How about once the album comes out go to rapgenius.com, the people over there are educated rap listeners. I’ve heard the leaked version, anyways its good quality and the album is legendary once its all said and done. Real recognize real.

    20. Wow, Cole done lost it. This is just disappointing. i thought he would really improve with his production but this is a simple, boring beat. Same with the rhymes, lyrics are pretty good but he has no emotion and a boring flow. And I would have liked to have seen a verse from Kendrick. I hope the album is hot because CW disappointed a bit and so far the tracks I’ve heard from Born Sinner aren’t that great.

    21. These two artist together are truly legends…. LOVE THIS SONG!! only negative for this is that kendrick lamar didnt have a verse ?!?! he would’ve KILLED IT

      1. lol…Cole is nowhere near a legend b. Stop it. His debut album is not even great, nevermind classic. How does one become a legend off an average debut and the second album just leaked?? Kendrick isn’t a legend either, but he has a better shot at becoming one. It’s too early. Why are fans today so damn eager to crown someone??

      2. Legends is not the term, Rookie of the year, best newcomer in a long time but not a legend yet

    22. Born sinner was a flop all these niggas hypin it up like its gonna be album of the decade and shit what a bunch of jokes. J cole will never ever come close to drake when drake drops his album no1 will ever remember Born Shitter or J snore. Drake makes all these wack niggas and wanna bes irrelevent

    23. The more I listen to Cole, the more I think son is Overrated. I want to like him, but the bars are mad ordinary!!

“I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, where niggas hold teks like they mad at the ref”…smh.

“Just copped the Maroon 5, no Adam Levine”…really?? This is hip hops savior??

There’s just nothing unique about Cole’s rhyme style, technique or voice.
Kendrick feature is pointless. The chorus blows. Another song about bagging chicks and figuring out what to do with them. If this is supposed to be one of the most anticipated songs on the album then I can’t say i’m amped to hear the rest.

      1. Co-sign everything. People just like him because their standards are low. hiphop is fucking dead if this is supposed to be the “best rapper”

      2. ^the main problem is you faggots can’t make up your own minds unless someone agrees with you or tells you what to think.. so every little thing offends you.. Someone says cole is the best and you’re all like “smh” someone says kendrick is their fav and your all like “smh”.. All of us don’t need to have the same opinion.. that would be retarded.. yea this nigga is average but you have to realize there are like 30 rappers signed to major labels who are way bellow avg and their whole fan-base consist of mostly white kids who listen to them “ironically”(lilb oddfuture mackelmore etc).. so dudes who are avg rappers end up looking like the best.. Long story short let people have their opinions.

      3. anon 2

well, at least you agree that the nigga is average. Thanks. I don’t mind people saying Cole is the best. Cool. Everyone has a favorite. But some of the shit I’ve read is just down right silly. Stuff like “best ever”, “poetic genius”, “legend”, “hip hops only hope”. That’s taking it waaaaay too far. There’s just too much stans out here today and not enough logical fans.

      4. Cole is decent just not $12.99 or 45 mins of my life decent. Kendrick is good though. Cole was the big hype of 2-3 years ago, him and drake. Drake made the pop $ and bought beats and writers and cole wore off his buzz.

      5. the chorus is what makes the song. its a play on the bible and its genius. thats why i fuck w lamar he thinks way otuside the box n it comes out crazy..and on a born sinner album its absolutely perfect

    24. I dont think he would show the kendrick verse, its probably on the album. Its called strategic marketing. This gives the customer a reason to buy the album. Dont be surprised if the verse is on the album though!

      1. You realized that this is leaked and Cole already said he will be the only spitting verses on his album right?

      2. if you listen to the album his mistake was being the only one spitting on the album. he’s actually very, very repetitive

    25. 100% ahead of Cole’s previous work, his other stuff can be described as solid. It seems his new shit is more ambitious.

    26. J Cole is alright, track is decent, as far as how he ranks all time, I would say at best he is good, at worst he is above average, relative to most emcees. He has potential, he just needs to hone his skills, maybe take a page from Nas, Elzhi, Rakim, i.e. some of the best lyricists ever. 3.5/5

    27. So many whiney people, it’s music. There is no best, it’s subjective. Enjoy it, and if not realize the shit isn’t for you and there’s thousands of artist out there and keep it moving.

    28. I wanna like J. Cole so badly, but there’s just something about his style, flow and music selection makes him sound-BLAH. Born Sinner sounds like a mix tape on a small dose of steriods. Also the music unlike GKMC goes in a predictable direction and like Nas (post Illmatic) this nigga cant pick a beat for his life. To me he’s above average on SO MANY LEVELS but a MASTER AT NONE, so his music becomes elusive.

      1. Because you don’t listen to what he’s sayin, or you can’t relate to him. Go listen to the warm up mixtape and Friday night lights, sideline story. These songs are a. Story line

      2. thank you! this is the truth if you are really objective about him and hip hop in general. There’s just something about J Cole that is wrong that you can’t put in words. I really think it’s his hook style, the way he raps with some kind of angry tone for no reason, and how his beats always follow the same exact cadence and breakdown style. He is one of those rappers that is better off as a feature on someone else’s track.

      3. This is typical New York rap. This fits perfectly in the scope of Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Black Star, or Wu Tangs’s work. Not close to perfect but it sounds hot.

      4. @ yes

I agree. Cole’s hooks are weak. The problem is he really can’t rap his hooks well. 90% of his hooks are sung/crooned. Bigger problem is he can’t sing. Even his songs with a rougher edge he prefers to his sing most of the time.

      1. Hey kendrick dick sucker, kendrick didn’t have a verse so gtfo. Cole murdered this song he didn’t need kendrick for this song

    29. this is one of the best cole songs i ever heard..the concept on point…if his album is more like this i might actually spend money on it. never thought id say that..him n kendrick made some damn good msic

    30. What are you people saying??! Y’all niggas don’t take the time to actually listen to his music, cole is all punch lines and poems and lyrics. Born sinner> good kid mad city , kendrick is boring as fuck and doesn’t talk a,bout shit. J cole talks about life. This will be the man people will be comparing to nas in a few years.

      1. Sorry, but no one will be comparing J. Cole to Nas. In terms of content Cole is similar to Joe Budden. A lot of relationship talk, real life issues, but Budden gets into grittier subjects.
People act like Cole is some kid. He’s 28! Nas at 18 was five times iller than Cole is now. These should be his peak years. Two totally different skill sets.

    31. Because a song about LUST requires crazy lyrics that are going to blow our minds…smh, there isn’t no powerful underlying messege to the song! Just relax and enjoy the song, so what if his flow is boring in this song? Maybe your just not into J.Cole, and so what if Kendrick didn’t have a verse? IT’S J.COLE’S ALBUM, NOT KENDRICKS!!! hahaha, just enjoy the music and wait for the album to drop before you judge…

    32. Yeah, J.Cole rhymes don’t impress me anymore. In terms of flow, wittiness, metaphors, etc…its just aiiight. doesn’t have that edge.

    33. Born Sinner is what happens when you’re surrounded by online fans and yes men. I’m not going to say anything about re-using a classic sample that has already been turned into two hit songs. However, the album overall is just ok. It’s like a 6 or 7 out of 10 if you are objective. J Cole just doesn’t answer the question why you should give a damn about him being a rapper. If his idea of being honest on this album is talking about how he wants to be famous or compared to people like Jay-Z, or his troubles in the club, then we have to ask ourselves what do we expect from hip hop artists. The depth is shallow at best, in the illusion of being deep. His story is just not that appealing when you compare him to other rappers on or above his level. He’s repetitive with his hook style, he is borderline phony acting like he grew up in Gary indiana when he went to private schools, he can’t write two or three lines without swearing too much, I could go on. What is the chip on his shoulder for? He’s actually had plenty of opportunities thrown his way compared to most. Cole Summer as a single is better and more honest than the majority of this album. What will happen is J Cole fans who love anything he does will love this album, but he’s not going to get a lot of new fans with this one. Crooked Smile is probably the only song with a real universal message that people can relate to, but there’s objectively nothing better on the album than that song. Born Sinner is hardly even worth buying or listening to more than once. I’d actually rather buy the last EP he put out than this album. You can tell that he didn’t really have a mentor on this album because it’s all over the place. 90% of it is about bitches, or being famous. You could take 5 songs on this album and make them into one song, as far as subject matter. J Cole is better off doing an album with a very strict concept or story line, so he can at least have a consistent theme or message. It might actually be a mistake for him to get on an album with Kendrick after this. He’s going to get murked every single track. Watch.

      1. Why you sound so hurt? You act like Cole owe you something, either you like the album or not, all that shit you typed aint even called for. Hip Hop got the wackest fans, I swear. You sound lame as hell. Truthhurts though?

      2. ^thetruthhurts went in a little deeper than most can deal with, but he made a lot of extremely valid points. he doesn’t sound hurt at all.

      3. There’s no point spitting on Cole’s work before the fuckin album comes out, just be patient ya bish

      4. TruthHurts blows, then sucks the dick. Stop the cryin man, its not that serious. the album boring but damn you dont gotta sound like tears are rolling down your cheek. Come here (giving hugs)

      5. Agreed he made a lot of valid points . Nothing wrong with being objective HIP HOP needs more of it

      6. maybe he wrote this because people act like j cole is the second coming and they need some sense knocked into them

      7. constructive critism too bad j cole stans will say its hatin and complain hiphop is filled with people who have no moral.

    34. Why is there so much hate for J? If you don’t like his flow or lyrics, don’t listen to his stuff, there’s no use moaning like bitches if your ‘trying’ to like him, either you like something, or you dont, simples 🙂

      1. That’s what this has come to now. If you critique an artist your a “hater”. Mentality of fans today is so dumb. Where anything in life be without some sort of formal criticism. So every hip hop fan should be in love with Cole no matter what?

      2. There’s a difference between critiquing and just talking shit. No everyone doesn’t have to love j cole, but it doesn’t mean you have to cry about how much you hate him.

      3. @Kj is right yaknow, there’s no point crying about how much you hate him because lets be honest, j cole aint gonna read this! “Better to show love than hate”

    35. exact same thing happened with cudi. All these so called real hiphop fans and all these goody good kids in hiphop hyped up cudi like cole to have album of the year and bullshit. Look at what happened it became forgotton and irrelevent just like cudi cole also has a below expectations album and in a couple of weeks his hype will be forgotton. I just laugh at hiphop fans that hype all these artists up saying all that bullshit.

    36. TTTTUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    37. Now, J.Cole may be overrated, but lets all agree he’s waaaaayyyyy better than those like Trinidad James, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne etc. hahahaha I love this song though, ngl

      1. Yeah but saying that wouldn’t help his this artist’s EGO. This dude is aiming much higher than that bullshit.

      2. True true, but to be honest alot of the greats have an EGO, its just who they are, and I hope he aims higher than the bullshit lmao

    38. There’s nothing special on this guy. Cole’s rhymes, beats, stories arent that interesting. He is good. But after listen 1 or 2 times you will forget this album. Cole has always the same subject matter. People call him a great rapper? Tell me why? Because standards are low nowadays fans listen to weak rappers as 2chainz, drake, etc.

      1. You say the guy is good, then say the guy is not good in the same comment though. Personally, I think that by 90s “Golden Era” standards, Cole is very good.

    39. Born Sinner Leaked Out Today, J. Cole really Came through on this one, yall check it out and let me know what yall think. Get It At www. HipHopGood .com

    40. Not cool. Robbing ATCQ. Just reminds me of how dope hip hop used to be. They fucked up the beat. Doesn’t sound as good as electric relaxation.

    41. As a J. Cole fan, I still say his delivery needs some improvement. He’s always been lyrically tight, but struggles with hooks and delivery. They rarely match either the subject matter of the song or the feel he was going for. He reminds me of Nas (style-wise) trying to rap over a Jay-Z song. I’ll give him a few more years to improve before I consider him just a mixtape artist.

    42. Its fire man love the tribe called quest electric relaxation sample for this track Cole the cole summer 2013 is TRULY YOURS times 5 LOL hey i know your album got leaked but dont worry we the j. Cole fans will make u go platinum this album SO GET OUT THERE ON JUNE 18th AND BUY COPIES OF BORN SINNER SHIT BUY 25 COPIES IF GOT THE CASH THAT TO ALL MY LOYAL J.COLE FANS WE ALREADY GOT HIS POWER TRIP SINGLE FT. 43. Once again this dudes production makes me yawn, dissapointed this dudes album here is make or break.

    44. why do so many people act like j cole is even that good? are you serious? there are at least 50 rappers id put before j cole

    45. J. Cole just made his first classic album every song is great his flow and production has really came along

    46. J. COLE BREAKS OWN PROMISE W/ “BORN SINNER” TRACKLIST? 50 CENT & KENDRICK LAMAR ATTACHED

    47. can niggas stop making songs about females like jesus christ i understand and can relate but why does EVERY chorus have to incorporate bitches

    48. Dope song but the whole time I was waiting for a Kendrick verse.. He woulda killed that shit

    49. how fitting.

2 gay rappers make a song called FORBIDDEN FRUIT.

j.cole is one of the most forgettable rappers ever. he doesn’t have ONE quotable verse or lyric, unless you’re a wimp. boring ass rappers. at least kendrick has something unique sounding about him.

      1. clearly you don’t listen to his music though. His punchlines r fire, can outspit most rappers today.

    50. This is wack! jcole is over rated… he knew better than to let anyone(kendrick) out spit him on his own joint!

    51. BORN SINNER ARGUABLY THE BEST RAP ALBUM FOR 2013 THUS FAR COPING 10 COPIES STRAIGHT LIKE THAT

    52. Every other song on Born Sinner is about a girl? The fuck? I thought that was Wale’s lane?

      1. I still love Kendrick’s album, but I have never liked Cole..
This song has a terrible beat, which actually ruins the song so badly that I have to skip through it.

        I won’t get J. Cole’s album whenever it’s out.

      2. @Anonymous,

I won’t suck your dick. Not everyone have the same, bad taste of yours what comes to music.
NP: Kendrick Lamar – Black Boy Fly [good kid, m.A.A.d city]

      3. This album is a classic, all you haterz can suck my balls. Kdot only makes a hook and you praise him. GTFOH.

      4. I’m praising Kendrick for his absolutely fantastic album.
This song does not meet the requirements of praising it, not even K.Dot could’ve make it sound good.

Accept the ugly truth, J. Cole is mediocre at his best – it may not be this song. And this comment section isn’t just for praising the song, or what did you think? We all have our own taste.

      5. You’re not objetive. You said that you never liked J Cole now you say he’s mediocre at his best.

      6. Hmm, I thought that I said earlier that I have once heard a good J. Cole song. Hmm, weird. Sorry for not mentioning this. I made an error.

    57. BOUT TIME .. SMH DAMN COLE .. THE OTHER FEW WERE OK .. THIS ONE IS A GOOOOOOOOO!
IF YOU ARE GOING TO SAMPLE, SAMPLE RIGHT. GOOD TRAC

    58. Absolute Trash. If you area real J cole fan and a Hip Hop fan you’d know this album is a major disappointment

      1. Lol people will hate on anything these days. If you think this is weak, your opinion is irrelevant. muhfuckas don’t know what they wanna listen to nowadays one day it’s mos def the next day it’s chief keef. pick a side and stay there.

    59. (Sarcasm)If you rap about politikks your boring. If you rap about consciousness and social awareness your boring a racist and preaching. If you go pop dumb down your lyrics change your beats and have repetitive subject matter you have sold out. So the last option is to cater to females since they buy the majority of records.

    64. Cole brought it and this track is dope. but good thing K Dot didn’t get a verse, he would embarrassed Cole.

      Still 5 star though

    65. Imagine if Born Sinner got XXL rating? Doubt it 🙁 but still, this song is CRRRRRAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

    66. J cole and Kendrick Lamar are saviours of rap! haterz of either of them can fucccck themselves, OH YEAH BORN SINNER= CLASSIC ALBUM 10/10
MY DISCLAIMER: if your a true hip hop fan u would realize that Kendrick is amazing and gifted with dope lyrical flow. However overall if you look back at both of thier work in the past J cole is deffo my pick, however that doesnt justify my opinion to say the least. I mean come on j cole produces his own tunes all his shit is mainly his, okay he has mixed old classic beats, buh he did do well with them and at times better them!!!! His lyrics speak for themself, i must relunctanlty admit that Kendrick does trump him at times displayed in the unofficial track of Temptation which i must admit is DOPE AS FUCK. But as a whole the overall talent J cole brings to the table does it for me.
Other wise BORN SINNER IS a true testament to his craft the album blew my mind away. ONLY REAL HIP HOP FANZ WILL UNDERSTAND. PS; Its only my opinion so its open to debate however thats how i feel so fuck yall everyone entitled to their opinion however with but only when ur not chatting SHIT! MOST PPL HERE BUMP TO SHIT LIKE ” she got a big booty so i call her big booty” come on that’s the sad state of hip hop so plz fuck you!!

BORN SINNER IS A CLASSIC peace out mofos!!

      1. How can an album that just leaked yesterday already be a classic??? For that to be the case, this album would have to completely turn hip hop on it’s head. It would have to be a ground breaking album to be classic already. From what I’ve heard so far Born Sinner is nothing close to that. Shit, the album won’t even be released for another week. Anyone calling the album a classic already was already convinced in their mind that it would be a classic before the first single even came out. Some people were already calling Born Sinner a classic after Crooked Smile dropped…without hearing the rest of the album!?!? So many impatient dick riders running around these days.

    67. IDK if it was cuz I had a crappy version, or just the first time around, but…

Juts relistend to BORN SINNER and I love it!

    68. In da hood, my niggas be chillin’. While I’m out in da streetz makin’ a killin’ wit dis drug dealin’. Music bumpin’, concealin’ a villain in da night. Why poe-leese got tha right to murk my brothaz? Deez words from da street da troof. Nigga be aloof. Put the bullets in da glock, make it rain blue. A flood of blood from a pig’s face. Once I put da glock in yo mouth, tell me: how dat taste?

J cole and kendrick Lamar are crazy ill. One day they will be amongst the legends of hip hop. Without question.

      1. Jay-Z has a too annoying voice for actually listening to him. Lyrically his tracks are just great, there’s no point for denying that.

      2. you could be a good lyricist but the listeners gotta feel you.
        2pac
Scarface (the most underated best mc)
        Jay z
        Big
        Nas

    72. J Cole’s lyrics are shallow, repetitive and they give the illusion of being lyrical, when in reality, he’s not saying shit. This song is about nothing, the album is about nothing…I listened to that shit and the whole thing is just calling girls hoes and complaining about them on almost every track.

    73. AMAZING ALBUM lets wait and see if it becomes a Classic ALBUM. All these haters need to calm it and zone out to BORN SINNER and if u cant; jump of a cliff whilst listening to FRENCH MONTANNA haaan LOl. Album is 9.4 OUT 10 i remember how i used to hate j cole but god damn this mofo is amazing. i replayed the album like 4 times when he streamed it. (He need to shave his eyebrows thou)!!

    74. and your bitch ad lib you got it from Kendrick ya bish he said it so many time on the song with Jay Rock it inspired you.

    75. poorly done… how are you going to sample a classic like that and it not be taken to the next level. SUPER DISAPPOINTED… Sophomore jinx must be in full effect. Havent heard anything thus far that has Wow’d this HipHop connoisseur

    76. This track is disappointing, loosely played sampled, knock off Kendrick idea for a hook, sad to say but the whole album kind of boring.

      1. here’s the problem..you’re too young to like this real shit, go watch spongeBob or some cartoon network shit.

    77. I rarely comment on these blogs but I guess it’s time to do just that. Most of the people here who infer that the album/record is ‘thrashy’ or ‘not dope’ really have a bigger issue to worry about, and it’s the fact that you cannot understand and relate to what he is saying, purely off listening to the song on its own.

If this is the case, get the lyrics of all his songs, print them out, then go over the whole album and hopefully, by then, you will be able to understand the meaning behind it etc etc

It’s just like reading literature my friends. Trust me, if you do this and you are between the ages of 21-26, I think you will find the music easily relatable to and pretty lifelike in a sense!

      Cheers from China

    78. J cole is the greatest of our generation and born sinner is the best album of the last 10 years classic work by cole. Cole is slowly entering the top 10 rappers of all time.

    79. some ppl r tripping or to young to understand what this songs about.this songs a classic i respect it

      1. Not even close for being an classic. I love The Root’s and Cunninlynguists’ stuff, but this is just weak.

    80. on that note seem like jcole only mentions bitchs in his songs. no matter what the songs about or not about it has girl references in it..move on my boy starting to get repetitive

    81. j.cole is dope but in no way will he outsell kanye.. if anything hes tryin to mimic the kanye v. fiddy shit to boost his own

    82. With Kendrick as hot as he is right now, I don’t get why you’d get him on a track and not give him a full verse?

    83. Decent album from start to finish. Oh yeah stop with that classic shit. Not every album that comes out is classic. Appreciate it for what it is then over time maybe it will be a classic. Dick riders and haters have killed this site smh

    84. LYRICALLY J. COLE ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL, BUT THIS NIGGA DON’T KNOW HOW TO MAKE HITS FOR SHIT. AT THE END OF THE DAY REAL HIP HOP FANS GONE APPRECIATE IT BUT HE AINT GONE CATCH NO REAL SUCCESS OFF THIS SHIT, AT LEAST KENDRICK KNOW HOW TO MIX A LIL BIT OF RATCHETNESS INTO HIS MUSIC TO CATCH THE EAR OF THE MF WHO AINT LISTENIN TO THE LYRICS,

      1. BUT AINT NOBODY CHECKIN 4 DEM JOINTS….WHO HONESTLY WAS FUCKIN WIDD WORK OUT LONGER THAN A MONTH…..

    85. this nigga’s beats are so WACK. Lyrics always on point but get some outside production an. Clearly surrounded by “yes” men.

      “Oh that’s hot, cole”.

      1. so youre saying that Tribe Called Quests beats are wack? this is electric relaxation nigga its an actual classic

      2. Just because Cole sampled a classic beat it doesn’t make his just as good. There have been hundreds of songs that have been sampled and butchered by the sampler. Cole didn’t butcher this one, but the original beat is sooooooo much better.

      3. Fucking retards learn some proper hip hop….Its a Madlib beat with slower tempo – nothing like electric relaxation – its mystic bounce.
Shame Cole hardly ever uses original beats but repeat for using Madlib

      4. Who cares. Madlib and Tribe both sampled from the same song. And do you really think Cole was thinking about paying homage to Madlib by creating this and not Tribe? I doubt it. The Tribe joint is an undisputed classic.

      5. So Kollagbord, youre saying that if i dont like this song, i automatically like lil wayne? By saying this, i hope you know youre being just as ignorant as the audience you target, dumbass.

      6. Really? You think he was thinking about a Madlib song? Is that why he shouts out to Phife, Tip, Ali, and Jarobi? Hm. Now it all makes sense.

    86. Nicki is the first female rapper to sell a quadruple platinum single (super bass)
Nicki is the first female rapper to sell 1.2 million records in a month (pink friday)
Nicki is the first female rapper to ever do a song with Nas (Lauryn Hill doesn’t count because her genre is R&B)
Nicki is the first female rapper to have her albums go #1 on the charts two times in a row
Nicki has only been in the game 2 years kim 17 years

      #nickiiswinningbitch

    87. If youre reading this, go out and spread red pill information to every man you know. When the average man views feminism as the direct existential threat to his freedom and well-being that it really is (rather than some obscure philosophy that has no effect on him), the tide will start to turn.

-Feminism makes it possible to put people like Brian Banks (and possibly you) away for crimes they did not commit.

-Feminism makes it harder for you to get in to school, harder for you to get a and keep a job, and harder for you to survive.

-Feminism ruins the educational environment for young boys, and chastises and over-medicates them into hollow shells.

-Feminism is an icepick in the eye of freedom, as its advocates fight endlessly to have any and every trivial comment that offends them classified as illegal hate speech.

-Feminism breeds contempt for men and masculinity.

-Feminism wastes millions of taxpayer dollars on indoctrination and propaganda.

-Feminism tears families apart, and has done irreparable damage to the institution of marriage (primarily through no-fault divorce) and the fabric of society in general.

If you dont spread the word, you arent fighting back. If you dont fight back, you will be crushed.

    89. Kendrick shoulda put a fuckin verse in ! ! ! ! fuckkkkkkkk . . . . The beat was hot and catchy af , equivelent to poetic justice kinda . . Kendrick is the abnormal smooth vibe on this

      1. SOme cool out shit to vibe with over some whisky and coca cola. Whatever your vice is.
Wondering why people are saying the song is boring? Maybe he needs to have the whole song sound like the adlib he was talkin about on the track where he’s just yellin out curses.
Yup, that’ll make the track real excitin!LOL

      1. No, it’s not just the same sample ATCQ used. It’s basically the exact ATCQ beat. Which to me is really unoriginal and lazy. Mixtape material, not album material.

      2. no dude it is the same sample. the orignal sample is called “mystic brew” by ronnie foster. ATCQ just added mad funk to it. if you listen to electric relaxation and this and mystic brew youll see the difference. Props to J Cole

      1. Delusional fan of crappy music.

    92. Man, i found this really boring, i don’t get why Kendrick & Cole have so many stans, ive listened to both of these guys for over 2 years, but never have i seen so many of these than on J Cole’s songs, i know everybody has their own opinion, but be a little realistic here, this shit was boring, unless you like overrated lyric concepts, and annoying choruses, only thing that kept me listening to this album after this disappointment was Chaining Day, Cole toned it down a lot.

      1. Then GO LISTEN TO SOMEthing else then what this album is real and me along with other j.cole fans can vibe to it u shouldn’t complain if u dont like it no one ask u for your FUCKIN OPINION ANYWAY SO GO FUCK YOURSELF AND HAVE A NICE DAY BITCH

      2. The whole point of being able to post comments on this site is to give opinions. Why are J. Cole stans so easily butt hurt??? Dude above didn’t say anything hateful. Calling Cole boring is not hating at all. A lot of people feel the same way. You call Cole boring or average, even just good and people tell you to go fuck yourself?!? Wow. It seems like you should only be commenting on here if you’re slurping and burping your favourite artist. It doesn’t work thay. Not everyone is in love with Cole. Some fans are feeling some joints and disappointed by others. Big deal.

      3. i thought the album was dope this song ,villluminati, and she knows main songs that kept me listening doe

      4. @blackula I think some people are just way too scared to believe that what they love so much, isn’t nearly as good as they thought it was. And that in turn sometimes can cause a chain reaction of self doubt about their taste in music or who they think they are. And thats a really uncomfortable and scary place to be. And I should know, I was in that exact place a while back.

    97. This song is cool and all but I still think Cole is boring and hardly has any personality on the mic. I know he has lyrics and all but compared to other rappers like BLU,Kendrick,Danny he’s just very flat IMO. I’m sure his album will be better than Kanye probably.

      1. i agree cole’s flow is too boring. Only non hood rapper I fuck with is drake. Kendrick is nice though, best lyricist right now

      2. NO MAN, Kendrick is not at Lupe level yet! I think he will get there lyrical and content wise in a couple years but he’s not there yet IMO.

      3. That is why he is the new Nas….will always be good but never great enough to be recognized for anything else but skill..

    102. Tribe beat is disrespected by Cole’s weak rhymes, Hook cool, but these niggaz are not talking about anything. Disrespectful to women and just jibberish no wonder why the youth stupid as Hell. Weak and this is Horrible!!!

      1. “Cole is the king, most definite
My little black book thicker than the old testament

    103. sample of electric relaxation for all you young dumb generic ass j cole fans that dont know ATCQ lol

    104. I cant give J Cole Slaw credit for using a classic Tribe Called Quest song to put on his album smh, where is the creativity!!

    105. kendricks hook game is good. always catchy, creative and original. J cole should take note as his hook game is the antithesis of kendricks. usually corny repeatitive and genrally dull
