Tekashi 6ix9ine has come under fire yet again, this time for allegedly ripping off a K-Pop group.
All K-Pop, a website dedicated to Korean pop music, noted 6ix9ine’s recently released “Nobody (Closer)” bears more than a passing resemblance to WINNER’s song “Island,” which was released last August.
6ix9ine reportedly uploaded the song on Instagram in celebration of DJ Akademiks’ birthday, which prompted criticism from K-Pop fans who recognized the instrumental. The polarizing rapper eventually deleted the post, but “Nobody” remains on YouTube. Comments on the upload continue to chastise 6ix9ine for biting WINNER’s work.

Who cares!!!!! Did mos def stop rapping? Is talib dead? DId jay z retire? Is 50 not around? Is em dead?
Talib is alive and well. Went to a private event last night here in Portland. He was the special guest.
wooooosh
So this is the plan for the summer? Put as much 69 content out as possible because you know it will attract fans and haters to click…..ya’ll have a great summer
Doesn’t surprise me he would be listening K-pop, or that he would rip them off for that matter
So a sample of a song, labeled as a remix, which still gives credit to the original artist, is stealing?
People do this EVERY SINGLE DAY.
It’s not just a “sample” of the song. He copied the entire beat. Only after he was called out did he include (Island Remix) in the title of his Youtube video.
