Damn. Was rely hoping 4 a Em verse but instead got love the way u lie part 3 or 4 or whatever # we on. Like to a T. I knew it was gonna be this tho. It is a skyler track but still. Will the real Eminem please stand up and spit sum hip hop bars?
Well, I like the song itself but Em’s verse is the biggest flaw in this song. Not because it’s bad – just because it’s a really poppified (if there is such a word) version of Eminem’s flow. That’s what the song called for though. He did what he thought flowed with the song – can’t fault him for that. Can’t wait for some hard raps from the guy soon though. Song (without Em) is tight tho – thumbs up
Radio Em yeah but this ain’t basic Em. Basic Em is that Em that was snappin. See we all die one day, the sauce, his D12 shit, bad meets evil even. If all u know is his radio stuff I hear you but u so missing out. He just a mad genius now when he spits not for the radio. Idk. I respect how crazy he is with his intricate world play and how in depth he gets but I want that hard verse when you can feel what he saying. THAT is when Em shines and always has. Like Pac. That’s where Pac shined too. Anyway….
I’m no stan but Till I collapse I’m patiently waiting to go to sleep and wake up with the warning that Eminem still don’t give a fck and is awnry. I got no love 4 u if you think the rap god ain’t a drama setter. I’ve hit rock bottom with my guilty conscious. I can do better. It’s OK, it’s 3am but I’m trying to stay wide awake. It’s the way I am, a renegade. I’ll kill you!
Ugh. Again with the shouting. I’m a huge Eminem fan, but the whole shouting flow is getting older than the accents. This verse really lacks substance too. It’s just so basic for Eminem.
If nothing else, Eminem really needs to retire the whole shouting flow.
Skylar kind of carried the song along, but didn’t do much with it. I kind of already feel like I heard it, but not really in a happy or familiar sense. Kind of was waiting for her to puncture the mood, and it didn’t happen. In the back of my head I think I was just sticking around for the Eminem feature. It was underwhelming. Nothing more or less.
I listened to a part or two again and there isn’t much to get. It’s not awful, but it’s just there. I’m sure it appeals to someone. It’s just what I expect from the two in a song called “Kill For You” where Eminem is a feature. Maybe a little less.
A lot of things said in this Eminem verse are verbose, but not captivating. It sounds like a leftover feature for what I could imagine to be a filler track for Rihanna.
This verse is like watching a Great ball player in a Layup Line, we all know what Em is capable of but….. its a layup line. Same perspective with Jay Z and Nas features we critique everything they touch like they suppose to “Dunk” every time.
But they ARE supposed to ‘dunk’!!!! That’s what made them great in the first place. Drawing out flashes of brilliance where none could be had. To see them feature in merely ‘ok’ songs is a bit disheartening when you KNOW they can do much better.
And I completely agree from a spectators point of view however they are the artist (players) they are asked for a feature and they deliver maybe he felt like this song wasn’t “dunk”worthy it’s still two points

full disclosure, good reaction. I have kinda same feelings, 3/5, em did his thing, but whole song from top to bottom its just avarage.
Skylar is the one who wrote the Love the Way You Lie songs, so it makes sense that it would sound like a Rihanna filler track.
