Jay Pharoah is slated to release his The Resurrection EP September 23.
The comedian, impressionist and actor worked with Bink, Rakh and Jovel Ford on the project, which feature the SNL cast member rapping.
“I’m coming out with a serious project,” he says in a press release. “I want to show my lyrical versatility over melodic production…I’m hoping it will be a classic.”
Known for his impressions Kanye West and Jay Z, among others, Jay Pharoah says Jigga has no problems with his work.
“[Jay Z] likes it,” Pharoah said in an interview published earlier this month. “I met him…He gave me the stamp of approval. It was great. Jay Z had no problem.”
