RZA Honored By PETA

RZA was honored at PETA’s thirty-fifth anniversary gala yesterday (September 30), according to AllHipHop.

“It’s an award that does not aim to reflect my art,” RZA says. “It instead reflects my heart.”

The event was hosted by Angelica Huston and Pamela Anderson.

The Wu-Tang Clan member is a vegan and has shared the reasons for his lifestyle with the special interest group.

“I don’t need a dead animal or a dead piece of flesh to go into my body,” he says in an interview for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

He cites the Boogie Down Productions song “Beef” as an important piece of education for Hip Hop culture.

“I had animals as friends that was happy to see me in they own animal way,” RZA says. “I’m sure they do not wanna be on my plate. I think Hip Hop is becoming more conscious about their diets.”

    1. Much respect to RZA an all practicing vegans vegetarians an freegans its a noble lifestyle. Until people extend their circle of compassion to all living things humanity will never find peace…

    2. RZA’s woman standing behind him like, “Alright nigga, can we go already? You did you little acceptance speech, now can we go to the salon so I can get my nails done… Always talkin’ shit… Now can I get my furs from out the attic?”

    3. It is what it is Rza. I however, love my steak, ribs and beef stew. Whoever thinks they’re better for not eating like me can go suck a straw.

    4. This is the same organisation that supports earth and animal liberation terrorists. Shame on you RZA for supporting them.
