Saigon has released his latest project, GSNT 3: The Troubled Times of Brian Carenard.
The set features Just Blaze, Papoose, Omar Epps and Big Daddy Kane, among others.
The 16-track effort is the third in the emcee’s Greatest Story Never Told series. The first in the series was released in 2011 and reviewed by Edwin Ortiz for HipHopDX. The effort earned a 4 out of 5 X rating on the site. In 2012, Saigon released the series’ second edition, a project that was reviewed by Amanda Bassa for DX. The Greatest Story Never Told 2: Bread and Circuses earned a 3.5 out of 5 in its review.

Oh lawd this album is all types of terrible. Why does Saigon just keep getting worse at making albums? His best shit was his old mixtapes.
I agree, I don’t know what happened but he was at best as the Yardfather all his old mixtapes are fire albums not so much and they’re all downhill after GSNT 1.

Damn kinda funny how he got Papoose on there. Those two were huge on the streets round 06. Everyone saying they NY’s future. Delays and inability to make hits led them missing the boat.
And it wasn’t just cause of the South or ringtone rap, Lupe was dropping albums selling well round then with lyrical content.
