Something very very wrong here… not one single black person working at that station. Quite a contrast to the performers, shows how out of touch this station has become. Where Hip Hop lives? Naw kid it’s where Hip Hop died. These cats are clowns. s/o to G-Eazy
I’m sick of seeing this reverse racism bullshit. 1.) In my personal experience Power has one of the most diverse workplaces in LA 2.) We normally have over 5 events throughout SoCal every week, if you think we’re disconnected you are pitifully wrong 3.) Being black, white, purple or yellow have nothing to do with a geniune love of hip hop, which everyone that works here definitely has. Take your ignorance and hate somewhere else my G.
Ryan Williams?? You are so incredibly defensive, you sound like you haven’t worked for Emmis for an extended period of time. It’s ok, these people pay you so of course you have to defend your bread and butter but this is the exact part of the problem. Your station’s employees do not reflect the ENTIRE demographic that you reach, and given the turnover going on over there maybe something has changed with the workers behind the scenes but at the very least your On Air Talent? “I Can’t Go For That No Can Do” You’re station does not represent the constituents nor do you have your finger on the pulse of what is happening in Los Angeles, whether it be through community activism or the local artists in the Greater LA region. You are NOT where Hip Hop lives, yet you guys hold on dearly to that mantra like it means something to us, the community doesn’t respect your station, your brand has decreased in value, and your Arbitron ratings are slowly and steadily being chipped away by other stations that GET IT. You guys don’t love Hip Hop, it shows in your playlist… if you guys truly loved Hip Hop you would break new artists and support them and think out of the box, but alas we know what this is, it’s capitalism at it’s finest, but if you are going to be a corporate shill be careful who you try to school because class is in session and you’re talking to a professor of this shit while you’re just a freshman. Get your weight up.
Oh by the way There is NO SUCH THING AS REVERSE RACISM. Racism is racism it doesn’t go in reverse hahahaha. You need to educate yourself a bit more.
Dope lineup. I would pay just to see Tinashe fine ass. Also its funny how kanye is like towering over the other artists in that picture. I know he headlining and all but they try to make him look like God or sumthin. Kanye cool but he not that nice.
