With a battle between Joe Budden and Hollow Da Don scheduled for Saturday’s (July 12) Total Slaughter event, Royce Da 5’9 hinted at a possible battle appearance himself at the same event.
After battler Arsonal Tweeted about his unannounced appearance on the card, the Slaughterhouse member seemed to allude that he would serve as the battler’s opponent.
Both rappers went on to exchange more Tweets about the event with Royce writing that he’s not “tryna compete with Smack or nobody else.”

That’s what’s up. That real hip hop competitive spirit is back and I love it. Win or lose the respect Slaughterhouse is gonna get is what it’s all about. A lot of emcees talk about it but Royce and Joey are about it.
The times are changing again, real emcees are back. Lyricism is now at the forefront like it should always be. Battling is at an all time high and the culture has shifted away from those corny ass club songs about swag and all that other crap to lyrics/bars/real emcee shit.

I don’t think anyone in Slaughterhouse has a chance to be honest. Canibus is a far better lyricist then anyone in Slaughterhouse, and look how that turned out. Hopefully Royce and Budden learned from that and are able to keep their composure.
