This was extremely bad, and reading the on going comments with Jimmy or whoever I would have to agree with him on one part: he has gotten a little better, but this still belongs in the garbage. All he discusses in the freestyle is getting money S.O.D and repping the west coast. Souljadude was born in Chicago and moved to the ATL when he was six and then to Mississippi when he was 14. (Wikipedia) Throughout the whole song all he does is talk about the west coast, if that is not a sell out then I don’t know what is. Again using the line “I got a master plan, it’s just harder than a boulder” what does that even mean? How can you personify a plan as being hard? Yes I have to say one thing about it, boulders are hard, but other than that it is just dumb. I would not consider souljaboy a rapper, or an emcee just for the fact all he is, is a mainstream hound. He makes songs that everyone wants to hear, but there is no substance behind it, no heart, just addicting uptempo instrumentals and stupid dumb lyrics. (Not everyone wants to hear it by the way) I enjoyed the instrumental on this, but the lyrical content was disturbingly bad, if this is what our society of music has become, then I want no part of it. I would not put what Jimmy said completely out of the equation about souljaboy being like T.I in the future, because miracles have happened, but it just seems highly unlikely that souljaboy would match T.I’s caliber in this life time. Also he has said S.O.D 93 times throughout the song, i guess repetition is the father of learning. Good advertisement.
