HipHopDX Premiere: After winning a Native American Music Award for Best Narrative Music Video in 2017, Artson is back with a new video for “Lonely Road.”
The track comes from the B-Boy/MC’s upcoming album Brave Star, which features some of Hip Hop’s most seasoned Native American rappers, including RedCloud, Quese IMC, Def-i and Wake Self.
Brave Star pays tribute to Mos Def & Talib Kweli’s 1998 Black Star album — Mos Def & Talib Kweli Are Black Star — and its message of empowerment for the African-American community and inner city youth at the time.
