Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler and Tendai Maraire of Shabazz Palaces are back at it with a wild video for “Shine A Light” featuring Thaddillac. Ish is put in the role of a goat and placed on a serving platter before he’s ultimately sacrificed by a young bride and groom.
Directed and written by Neil Ferron, the black-and-white visual culminates with a explosive kissing fest as an older couple looks on. Needless to say, it’s a strange concept, but suits Shabazz Palaces’ experimental nature.
“Shine A Light” comes from Shabazz Palaces’ new album Quazarz: Born On A Gangster Star, which was released in July along with Quzarz Vs. The Jealous Machines.
