HipHopDX Premiere: New Jersey/Philly super spitter Ren Thomas has rolled through with a video for “Gutterball,” which features a verse from frequent collaborator Skrewtape and production by Tab.

Filmed at the iconic South Bowl in Philadelphia, the video is a loving homage to cinema classic, The Big Lebowski. In this version, however, Thomas plays the role of Walter Sobchak (John Goodman) and Skrewtape stands in for “The Dude” (Jeff Bridges) while DJ Expo is Donny (Steve Buscemi).

“When Tab sent me the beat, I loved the sound of the pins being knocked down and wanted to tie that into the song,” Thomas tells HipHopDX. “‘Gutterball’ is used as a term of being the ‘worst of the worst’ here and it’s a self -deprecating record of us being as honest as possible. ‘The Big Lebowski’ is one of my favorite movies and Skrew is such a real life Dude, and me being a big guy who can act serious like John Goodman, it just fit. Plus Expo as our DJ is the target of our jokes a lot of times just like Donny in the movie. We had mad fun filming it.”
