HipHopDX Premiere: After changing his name from Young Cypher to Chris Tyson, the Atlanta rapper is back with a new video for “Control,” a track produced by highly sought after beatmaker Ricky Racks.

The video which was shot in the depths of the infamous Skid Row, which is located downtown Los Angeles. The visual depicts police brutality, the events of 9/11, and more, while Tyson raps about the corruption in politics and why he feels “all they want is control.”

“The song came about by me just watching the world we living in an how much control there is amongst us as people,” Tyson tells HipHopDX. It’s ‘Land of the Free,’ but no real freedom. I was just sitting one day thinking about everything that was going on from the Trump presidency to 9-11 to police brutality. So I took my current thoughts at that moment an turned it into a song. Plus it’s real, we living in it.”
