It’s been a minute since Nino Bless was on the studio front making music. The New York rapper who was once intertwined with the Slaughterhouse movement has been closely eyeing the battle rap scene as of late. But his new “Mind Altering” video is a legitimate proof to his longtime following that he’s back.

Just take a look at the attention to detail spliced together by Next Gen Digital. Bless stars as a patient in a psych ward, whose lyrical diagnosis highlights some of the undeniable ills when it comes mainstream pop culture.

“Basically just a Clockwork Orange style of concept of how we are programmed essentially by brands, corps, logos, societal norms, and influence of that nature,” Bless exclusively tells HipHopDX. “I had some makeup and went there to get in character and for the art aspect. But overall it’s just covering ways of being brainwashed and towards the end I conform and the mind altering takes place.”

And when there are prescriptions, there’s medicine. “Mind Altering” would be a part of the upcoming album, AudioTrip 2.
