DXclusive: Derek Minor Drops First Video Off New Album, "You Know It"

HipHopDXclusive Premiere: Nashville rapper Derek Minor has returned with his latest visuals for the track “You Know It,” the first single from his sixth studio album, Reflection.

Complete with costume changes and action shots, the Will Thomas-directed video finds Minor at the top of his game.

“People feel like they can control you and recreate who you are,” Minor explains. “In the video, one minute I’m a basketball player, another minute, I’m Donald Trump, a preacher, Birdman, and a clown. While it’s happening, I realize there is this kid with this app that’s controlling me. Eventually, I get the iPad, and break it, and I just become myself. I’m not going to let people create their own version of me. I’d rather be myself.”
