HipHopDX Exclusive Premiere: Brooklyn-based rapper Tyler Kristian is coming out the gate hard with his debut single “Drugs.” The sultry Mike Irish-produced song and its provocative music video will definitely turn heads. According to Tyler, it’s all about how “sharing a connection with someone that is so strong, intimacy with them is as euphoric as getting high on your preferred drug of choice.”

His first move being so bold is no surprise since music is in his blood. Tyler is the son of soul diva Sharon Bryant, who began her career as a vocalist for Atlantic Starr, and Rick Gallwey, a jazz percussionist and former Change member. Growing up with an inside look at a career in entertainment, he developed a profound appreciation for music and an understanding of the industry. Now Tyler is ready to step out and show what he’s all about.
