Last night in D.C., Wale serviced his homegrown following with live renditions from cuts from his sophomore and debut album, respectively by performing “Lotus Flower Bomb” and “Pretty Girls” in part of 1800 Tequila & Billboard’s “Back to the Block” series.

As the title suggests, the “Back to the Block” series brings top notch artists “back” to where it all began and allows fans to get an intimate interaction with the talent they helped groom.

Wale succeeded G-Eazy (in Oakland) and Travis Scott (in Houston) as the next one to “Back to the Block.” He reportedly took several shots of 1800 to let the people know he was happy to be home as well.
