Chicago producer Bryan Ford and Wu Tang alum Killah Priest have teamed up for the collaborative album For the Future of Hip Hop, due out May 6.

When asked about concept behind the lyrics in the track:

“We were all talking about hip hop and how the sounds have changed over time” says Bryan Ford, the producer on the project. That night we were looking at the future of hip hop in a really optimistic way because here we are, all together – a legendary emcee like Priest, a Chicago veteran in Pugs, Awdaz, and me and the band who’ve played and toured all over. I mean, it just fit – old school, new school, music influences from all over mixing together to make great art.”
