Bangladesh joins the ranks of producers-turned-artists like Mike WiLL Made-It, Timbaland, and Pharrell with his first single from his upcoming album, Flowers & Candy. The addictive debut single takes Trap to the strip club with an ominous beat and an equally catchy hook, “Drop a stack, drop a stack, drop a stack.”
HipHopDX spoke exclusively to Bangladesh about the upcoming project. The Atlanta producer likened the album to “…a body of work to present to people; to get into my world, get into my head, how I think and what I see.” When asked about the upcoming video theme for “Trixx” he said, “It’s going to look like a circus. Like a high-fashion circus.”
The albums, title speaks to the producer’s focus on the power of the feminine. “Girls dictate what’s hot or what’s not,” Bangladesh declares. More specifically the women in Atlanta is who he’s trying to impress, “In Atlanta it’s the strip clubs that make or break you,” he admits. He even likens the feminine influence to usurping a nearly extinct position in the music industry, “The females are the new A&R.” He might just win them all over with Flowers & Candy.
