Diop and Mandog, both from Indianapolis, have been working together for the past four years. Diop has been rapping on the Indianapolis local scene for the last ten years. His approach to lyricism blends nuggets of thought-provoking topics with everyday relatable perspectives. His goal is to entertain while simultaneously educate in the truest Hip Hop sense. His influences are Andre 3000, Nas, UGK, and Tupac.
Mandog has been a producer on the Indianapolis local music scene for the past 14 years. He is extremely experimental and approaches production from the view of a composer. He likes to push the envelope with samples and beat structure in order to always bring something innovative to the creative process.
Now, they release their new single titled “LowKey LowKey.” This song serves as the second single off of their forthcoming EP called Flow Flexin, slated to be released on January 17. The duo’s sound can best be described as fundamentally Hip Hop, courageously experimental while simultaneously contemporary.
