As the country attempts to process the shocking results of last night’s (November 8) election, the good folks at Wax Poetics (WP) have crafted a little mixtape titled Funky President in honor of President Barack Obama. From Sly & the Family Stone to James Brown, the mixtape screams unity from beginning to end with snippets of Obama talking about Hip Hop, funk and soul thrown in the mix. Sewn together by WP creative director Freddy Anzures, it’s a touching tribute to Obama’s last year in office. Listen above.
