Jay Luse’s latest single, “I’m Trying Trust,” features production by Kris Minor (Wale, Chaz French) and delivers a motivational message. A member of the Denton, Texas-based Hip Hop collective Channel X(TEN), the Zimbabwe-born/Dallas-bred rapper released his debut EP, The Soulful Attraction, nearly a year ago, but is finally back with new material.
“I wrote this song for people who’ve struggled with trusting the process when following their dreams,” Jay tells DX. “In life, there’s plenty of ups and downs but the key is to trust the process and cut out the doubt. My hope is that this song will serve as a daily reminder to stay level headed, continue working and trust the process towards achieving your dreams.”
