Nineties West Coast rap vets Cold 187um, Ice Cube and The D.O.C. come together for “Legacy,” which is produced by Laylaw and SClass. The song appears on 187um’s upcoming album The Black Godfather. This collaboration is of particular interest considering The D.O.C, who penned some of N.W.A and Dr. Dre’s most iconic tracks, was involved in a car accident in 1989 that severed his vocal cords, effectively ending his career. The raspiness can still be heard in his voice, but it’s a welcome return from the OG.

The Black Godfather is scheduled for an October 10 release.
