New York City native and Los Angeles transplant Koncept is in an encouraging mood on his latest track, “Reloaded.” After premiering the video for his J57 collaboration “Jump” last week, he swiftly returns with another Thursday offering, something he’s coined “Champagne Konny Thursdays,” and has been doing for the past eight weeks. With vocal contributions from the Los Angeles rapper Tenacity, the Max Landry-produced track bumps with a dark, uncompromising beat.

“2016 was one of the best, but also one of the hardest years of my life,” Koncept says in a statement. “I lost people that I loved and cared for. I had people who were the closest to me reveal true colors and show that they weren’t who I thought they were. But all I can, and all I’m going to do, is focus on the positive and all the great things and people that are around me. I’m reloaded and stronger than ever. I now live in LA, which I love. I just finished the full length album at Red Bull Studios, and I’m ready to get this new music out to the world.”

Koncept is working on his new full-length, Flight, which should be out soon.
