Despite Dontee Weaver’s tough exterior, he hurts like anyone else. On the single, “God Got Me,” he purges the pain he felt when his younger sister passed away from cancer.

“My favorite [song off the mixtape] if I had to choose would be ‘God Got Me,’ which is another one that I get good feedback about, but it’s one of my more personal songs,” Weaver tells DX. “I touch on my little sister passing away from cancer. I use it as motivation for myself and to inspire others, but it still has a street twist, as I speak on battling the positives and negatives in my life.”

Featured in the pages of Hip-Hop Weekly, Weaver is becoming more visible and intent on making it to the top. “God Got Me” is featured on his 13-track mixtape, Digital Trappin,‘ which includes production from Nick E. Beats (Fetty Wap’s “My Way“).
