Old meets new and Brooklyn meets Brazil when BROOKZILL! takes the stage September 14 for its first-ever live show at New York City’s SOB’s. Gorila Urbano describes the show as a “spiritual hip hop ceremony and culture clash inna b-boy stance.”

The supergroup quartet collective of Prince Paul (Stetsasonic, Gravediggaz), Ladybug Mecca (Digable Planets), Rodrigo Brandão (aka Gorila Urbano), and Don Newkirk (The Dix) is set to drop its debut album Throwback To The Future on Oct 7 via Tommy Boy Ent, featuring the smoking lead single “Saudade Songbook (feat. Count Bass D).”

In anticipation of the album release and the live show, Prince Paul drops the second of three bandmate-inspired mixtapes, BROOKZILL! “Mixtape #2″ – Ladybug Mecca Mix.”
