Compton has done it again, giving the rap game another undeniable star. Vincent Cohran, better known as Slim 400, discovered his passion for music at the tender age of 12. While overcoming the harsh reality of growing up in Compton, Slim began to create a sound for himself, which led him to grab the attention of yet another rising star YG.

In 2008, Slim 400 became a member Pushaz Ink, which included members such as YG and DJ Mustard. After joining, Slim dropped his first official projects “High off Trees vol 1 and 2.” Determined to continue to release more music, Slim dropped “Call it a Go” in 2010, which attracted views worldwide. A few years and a couple tours later he released, “Keepin’ It 400.” With explicit tracks such as “In my Hood” and “Bompton City G’s,” Slim showed he was able to present quality of music the hood could relate to.

Slim followed up with his breakout EP FOEBLOCK, which was released in 2015. Because of Slim’s outstanding sound and affiliation with YG, he has been able to perform all across the world. Touring with artist such as Yo Gotti, Ty Dolla $ign, J Cole and Big sean, A$AP Ferg, Mac Miller, and of course YG.
