Rob Jackson is best known for his 2002 chart-topping single “Boom, Boom, Boom,” featuring Lady May, and now the Kentucky rapper is planning a big return in the game this year, starting with his new single “Pledge of Legions.”

I wanted to be a part of that. The stars are aligned.”
In the past decade, the soft-spoken artist has worked largely behind-the-scenes: writing music, mentoring young artists and flexing his philanthropic muscle. “I never really stopped making music,” he explains. “I was making my own little secret music. It was me doing what I do because I have to, you know what I mean? It must be done. It’s not up to me. But I’ve decided to once again share that music with the world.”
