Mardi, A.K.A Mardi Lex, is a twenty-year-old artist from Houston. The lone-star was born to Nigerian parents who played a lot of music around him growing up, from the Afro-beat sounds of Fela Kuti to the likes of 50 Cent and Eminem. He has been exposed to a multitude of cultures, as a result of him moving around state to state and country to country by virtue of his parents’ careers. This exposure has given him the tools to create a refined cross-genre Hip Hop sound with influences from a wide range of artists, and content personal to his character that gives light to a quiet millennial perspective.

Mardi currently attends Purdue University working on an engineering degree, but focused on music, to prove to himself and the world that anything is possible within his generation. Anybody can be who they really want to be if they work at it.

Now, he releases a new track titled “Point Blank.” Cooking up angst, aggression, and restlessness, Mardi is here to declare his music is a cut above the rest.
