Atlanta-based Jamaican hip hop artist ZUSE recently dropped his mixtape, “Bullet 2: Banana Clip (#B2BC).” Now, he teases fans with a preview of his project’s diversity with the hot single, “Set It Off.” In the record, Zuse sings about the daily grind and climb to the top over a catchy, pop-infused beat produced by Jazz Feezy (DJ MLK) and Steve Samson (Young Thug, August Alsina).

This summer scorcher starts off with a slow cadence and continues with a bubbly tempo that’ll have you dancing by song’s end. The upbeat, dancelike tempo is a stark contrast to the sometimes gritty lyrics about doing what it takes to win. “Set It Off” follows ZUSE’s most recent singles, “I Need You,” a ballad produced by FKi and a slowed-down drug-infused record, “I Can Feel It,” which samples Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter.”
