HipHopDX Exclusive Premiere: Detroit-bred artist, J. Cobb recruits Solo Lucci and Roc Nation’s Ashley Rose on his brand new single “Rollin.”

“Rollin” is a smooth follow up to Cobb’s hard-hitting single, “K11 (Right Now).” The track garnered significant underground attention and landed Cobb multiple SXSW performance opportunities. J. Cobb collaborated with acclaimed Grammy-nominated producer, Roger L. Goodman (Lupe Fiasco, Waka Flocka and Dej Loaf) on both releases.

Currently on the Sounds Like Summer Tour with Chuck Inglish, Cobb is traveling the country on a mission to connect with as many music lovers as possible. His unique delivery has many listeners intrigued to hear more from J. Cobb.

J. Cobb doesn’t have your common ‘rags to riches’ hip-hop backstory. Cobb was born to determined parents who motivated him to pursue higher education and reach for the stars in life. Cobb attended Wayne State University and earned a degree in Media Arts & Studies. A product of Detroit, the home of Hitsville, U.S.A./Motown Records, J. Cobb was naturally immersed in music. Growing up in a family of classically trained musicians inspired his appreciation for sound.

In an interview with Stop the Breaks, Cobb said: “Music is an extremely powerful artform and along with using it to help me through difficult times I feel I could contribute and help others who may be going through something similar.”

Cobb’s deep passion for sharing music led to the founding of his own independent record label, Stone Group Records. His indie label supports authentic artists of all genres without hindering their creative process. You can accomplish whatever you put your mind to!
