It’s a great time of the year for Shark lovers. If you are like me, you have been glued to the TV every night at 8pm to watch Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. After watching the Hammer Head shark on Monday night, it got me thinking: Hip Hop is sort of like the ocean and its shark population. It’s very competitive; there are larger and more aggressive rappers in the culture, as well as low-key, serene rappers. At the end of the day, just like sharks, rappers are trying to survive in a jam-packed culture. After doing some research, listening to numerous records and picking my favorite joints, I put together a list of The Top 7 #SharkWeek Rap Songs. Unfortunately, the Cool Kids have not released their Shark Week project yet, but if they did that would have definitely made the list. Hip Hop is supposed to be fun, so chill out from the drama and competition for a day and enjoy #SharkWeek.

LL Cool J – “Deepest Bluest (Shark’s Fin)”

Lil Wayne – “The Rapper Eater”

Mobb Deep – “Shark (Produced By The Alchemist)”

Jimmy Fallon x The Roots – “#SharkRap”

Cam Meekins – “Sharks”

Shark Sinatra – “Classic”

The SHARK – “New York”

BONUS: Kool Kid Kreyola – “Me And My Shark Fin”
