While Forbes' Zack O'Malley Greenburg visited Morocco to hear the Wu's multi-million dollar album, he gave us all a little taste of what we're missing.

Wu-Tang Clan aficionados are an intense bunch, but when the rumors began that a multi-million dollar price tag was attached to their upcoming project The Wu – Once Upon A Time In Shaolin, eyebrows were raised. The truth of the matter is the rumor is the truth. There is in fact a Wu album with a hefty price tag, and it exists...tucked away in Morocco. Forbes rose to the occasion to not only travel to Morocco, but hear the secret project (read the story here). It didn't completely work out as planned. It's detailed all in the video below, but check out the 51-second snippet off the secret project. Producer Tarik “Cilvaringz” Azzougarh had a few things to say about the project. “Despite everybody thinking that this is some great publicity stunt or marketing ploy, this has been a genuine concept from the get-go,” he tells Forbes. “It happened to get a lot of publicity—great—but it is a genuine concept with a genuine core and a genuine goal.”

  • Robbin Tanks 4 Ammo

Cilvaringz should produce more for the Wu, he kept that gritty dark vintage Wu sound. Some of the knuckleheads on here truly dont understand the concept of this.

It's amazing to see how far Hip-Hop came. WU always created art and as a fan, glad to see their music being treated as such. General population is actually putting value and recognizing the craft.

  • Ink B

Hhahaha Old ass niggas tryna advance rapping from their retirement home fuck all this bullshit . Wu Tang is my shit but there time is up . Eminem , Jay Z & Nas are the only one from the 90's still relevant . New School MC's like Ross , Meek Mill , Ace Hood , MGK , Drake , Tyga , Kendrick have taken over so no place for these has been niggas

    • Anonymous

Speak for yourself, I'll listen to wu-tang until I die. Personally, I think you named a whole lot of shitty rappers there, aside from Kendrick.

    • vllsfsf

Lil Wayne is still relevant too and he's from the 90's too. Lil Wayne's first collaboration album "True Story" with B.G. was released in 1995, even before Eminem's "Infinite" and Jay-Z's "Reasonable Doubt". Also Andre 3000 is still relevant.

  • Anonymous

Sorry but the rhyming here was extremely basic (sometimes nonexistant) and nobody wants to hear Cher on a Wu Tang record. Beat sounded hot but this was wack overall.

  • tha OG

RZA just sell it to retail stores nigga!!!!!5 stars tho

  • Anonymous

I'm guessing this is mainly a Cilverings produced album patch- worked together from a bunch of vocals that fell to the cutting floor from previous work. For me, unless RZA is on the boards, the Wu ain't the Wu. I have a hard time believing he can't take it back to '79.

    • Realtalk

Your clearly not a real wu fan like the rest of the idiots on this site! Yall niggas r sleep! Cilvaringz is a dope producer who has been down with the rza and making beats on wu albums since the 90s, do your homework

$97/hr pavivdv by Google, I am making a good salary from home $5500-$7000/week , which is amazing, under a year ago I was jobless in a horrible economy. I thank God every day I was blessed with these instructions and now it's my duty to pay it forward and share it with Everyone, Here is I started,,, =========================== >>>>>>> WWW.YELLWORK.COM ===========================

  • STFU

All you motherfuckas are mad you can't afford it, that's all.

  • Sensaye Sixkiller

Sounds like a trainwreck to me. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's not worth a million fuckin' dollars or whatever they're charging for this 'piece of art'. I been a huge Wu fan for twenty years, but I can't support all this bullshit. The 'mystique' of the Wu has faded, you mothafuckas just need to put out some dope music. Show and prove, instead of making these pronouncements like some monumental album is in the works. You see these niggas at shows now, they don't even look like they like each other any more. It's getting painful to watch and listen to. Just keep it movin'. If something comes together organically then fine, until then, they each make good enough shit individually to keep the Wu brand and the Wu sound alive.

  • Not Impressed

This is better than the last track they put out, but the sound is still not where I need it to be. Ghostface sounds a little old and worn out, and that beat is cool, but it seems like something Just Blaze would have made 8 years ago. I need Wu-Tang to push music forward at this point, do something new. I'm not impressed

    • Not Impressed

Every song I listen to sucks. I'm depressed all the damn time. No girl will date me because I'm 29 and live with my mother and don't drive a car. I'm not impressed.

  • lol

AND SHAME ON THE WU ALL THIS BITCH ASS SECRET SHIT ... PUT THE DAM ALBUM OUT ...

    • x

nobody clown describes you more than this dude. Everybody composes in their bedroom studios now except nobody clowns like you.

  • Anonymous

    ah yeah again and again

  • Anonymous

sounds pretty boring to me. generic old nigga rap shit

  • Ruvunja

Cilvaringz' album had some dope beats which if a rapper like Meth had flowed over would hav bin classic, I think he can pull this off, he seems to have retained that vintage Wu sound

  • RC

Lets face it Wu-Tang is better off going out on a high note & just making this their final studio album all together as a collective group. You're never gonna get anything better than vintage Wu-Tang from back in the day, never ever ever. They might as well do whatever they're gonna do with it & call it a wrap as far as group albums go. Wu-Tang might be forever but the chemistry between them all sure as hell ain't. Might as well capitalize on the buzz cause this is about as much as a Wu-Tang album will get these days.

    • Ryan

sounds like it was recorded off a phone or something. Which usually happens with snippets, this isn't what the final production would sound like.

1998 called, they want this album back

    • Seriously

I love me some Wu-Tang but this aint the Wu sound. This some plastic wannabe sh*t from a lame who just bit Rza's style and spent a decade trying to perfect it. NO. The Wu-Tang members don't even like this wannabe. I dont even want this album. Don't even make 1 copy. KEEP IT!

    • Anonymous

for real! yall can keep that cookie cutter shit these niggas do today!

    • Anonymous

Is that supposed to be a diss? because hip hop was way better in 1998.
