As promised, Top Dawg Entertainment releases a new record from their camp. "RIP Kevin Miller" is performed by their newest signee Isaiah Rashad.

Isaiah Rashad tells listeners to "wake up" in his latest track, "RIP Kevin Miller." The new single has the Chattanooga, Tennessee native rapping over a dreamy instrumental, courtesy of Black Metaphor. No word if this leak will land on his Cilvia EP that was pushed back to early 2014.

In an interview with HipHopDX, Isaiah confirmed that the EP was pushed back because of changes on the tracklist and hinted at possible "surprises." You can also expect the young emcee to release an album following the EP. For more info about Isaiah's thoughts on Top Dawg Entertainment, career moves and more, check out the exclusive interview with HipHopDX. -Janice Llamoca

    Nice! Looking for to Cilvia.

  • Jealous Cali label mates

I just hope none of the Cali artists on the label get jealous, if he goes gold before them. When Disturbing The Peace signed Chingy and he sold 3x platinum, the Georgia artists on the label were very salty, which ultimately led to Chingy leaving.

If this song is a salute to Percy's little brother, then Isaiah just earned a loyal Louisiana fan base.

Don't care... Just another dude stealing lines from the big homies... MASTER P "WEED & MONEY"

  • Anonymous

This dude is suspect, I'm telling you, he is a closet gay if I have ever seen one, I will not support that shit

    • Anonymous

Not entirely true, he may have a son but that was from before he knew he was gay, since he currently prefers weiner then he won't be viewing very many more pussies thus making it feasibly possible that in the near future I will have surpassed the pussy that he has viewed in his life making me the person who has viewed more pussy. Hope that clears it up for you pal.

    • Anonymous

lol @ thinking hes a faggot. he has a son and gets more pussy than you will ever see

    • Anonymous

I believe he must have chocked on that very dick & dieded. RIP Anon #2, you truly were a homo

    • Anonymous

    • Anonymous

Man, I'm from the days of Tribe, De La, Biggie, Big L, Fugees, Krs, Rakim......., but you can't compare this generation of artists to past generations. Times change and there is nothing we can do about it except deny or accept the new talent. Making comparisons is not fair to the new cats or old cats. It is what it is! I personally don't have a lot of positive things to say about the majority of so called new talent either, but I just keep going back to the crates.

  • Anonymous

BOOOOOOOOOOOO STOP DICK-RIDING. IT'S SUB-PAR, JUST LIKE HIS BET FREESTYLE. DICK RIDING MUTHAFUCKAS.

  • Anonymous

its iight, not really a verse from my boi

  • Anonymous

This is dope but he already performed this as a freestyle on ThisIs50 just pointing that out.

    • Anonymous

@TaZzZ You must've not read what i wrote. By definition, what Isaiah did on ThisIs50 WAS a freestyle. The problem with it is that he released it afterwards. Most emcees use old verses, mediocre verses, or simply stray verses that do not belong to any song when they do radio freestyles. Why would Rashad waste a verse that he's actually using for Cilvia on the radio? I just think it was a bad call. Some pre-written bars is also different from the whole verse, and if your trying to tell me that freestyle emceein isnt important to hip hop, you have no business telling me i know nothing about it. And if it was a promotion, wouldnt they advertise it as a promotion instead of a freestyle? If the title read "Isaiah Rashad drops verse off new mixtape" it wouldve gotten more hype anyway.

    • TaZzZ

You're truly a fuckin idiot Anon. I don't usually go outta my way like this, but shit man if the product is fuckin good who the fuck cares? No one freestyles anymore, almost every emcee uses as least some pre-written bars. A lot of the time a song comes to life as an acapella first and waits for the right beat, or maybe he already recorded it and didn't release it and was using the "freestyle" to promote himself and the song... On top of that, its the media that coins it a freestyle, you think he personally posts the video? Does he say "this is a freestyle"? No, thats just the common terminology to kicking a verse of the spot, you can obviously tell when its on the spot because even the best are super basic. Don't leave paragraph comments when you know nothing about hip hop or the way the industry works...

    • Anonymous

@Fletch Fletcher Ill tell you so what; The title of the video says "Isaiah Rashad freestyle," so that could mean one of two pretty lame things. Either it was a freestyle and he just went back, listened to it and recorded it (which is weak because that means he didn't put very much thought into a song that's going on his TDE DEBUT). Or (more likely) he kicked a written on ThisIs50, which is alright because the likes of Grandmaster Caz and KRS-One confirm that a freestyle CAN be a written verse that nobody has heard. BUT if he then decided to record it and put it on his album, it nullifies it as a freestyle, which just makes him look bad. But I was just pointing it out, Isaiah is one of the dopest rappers out right now in my opinion so mad props to him and big ups to the whole TDE crew they run this hip hop shit.

    • Anonymous

      fuck a freestyle

    • Fletch Fletcher

So what? This is the studio recording
