new york still making dope music people just prefer the southern style of music now
of course Rell can rap and Kat is funny. it's good to see people stand for their community. i get why they are mad at Trinidad even though it seems like wasted energy. That energy could be used to promote the collaborating taking place in NYC, instead of talking and sending threats, showing and proving that NYC artists and venues and DJ's can support each other on a street level. Trinidad would have also saved himself a world of hurt if he just had said "I want everyone who came out to my show tonight to make sure you support your local mc's and dj's, no matter what the radio is playing. Y'all go get that new Smoke DZA. Go get that new Troy Ave. Did you listen to Loaded Lux mixtape or Hoodie Season and Blue Chips 2?" If he said it like that, he would have earned respect in the city instead of hate. People want to rant like Kanye when they haven't earned the respect needed to speak so freely. Everyone wants to be a tough guy or an "artist". At some point you have to use common sense.
Just aint promoted right.
