This is better than anything on the album
Do it Em!!!!!!
Eminem is a gay fraud
this shit makes me want to skip.
thank fucking god. beat is sick. flow is fresh. and i'm so glad he's using his shady voice.
track feels nostalgic.
This is so dope! Eminem is a Rap God and always will be
Don't like the flow he used on this. He should have revisited his old flow.
Dude say the same thing! Garbage!
This is a good cut. It just makes me wish Eminem would work with some golden age producers.
Imagine an Em album with several legendary producers such as:RZA,Premo,Buckwild,Dilla,Pete Rock, etc.
I have always wanted Em to make a joint with Premier.
Eminem working with Marley Marl would be freaking amazing!
it wouldve been nice if the entire album was this way. love the album tho
So-So, I really didn't like the stutter and stop flow he used in here. Seemed not to fit quite right 3/5 dope overall though.
Why was this not on the album??????!
Sample didn't clear in time
it was just not the Itunes version.
So dope. How can anyone say that Eminem doesn't have it any more?
This shit is dope but he is normally on some corny ass beats with some corny ass hooks. That's why people say he doesn't have it anymore. He needs to do an album with Buckwild.
FIRE......AND RESPECT THE REACH BACK TO PEOPLE WHO WERE THERE FOR YOU ............DUCK DOWN SALUTE
love it, overall this is a masterpiece.
Big up Eminem & Buckshot
Why wasn't this on the MMLP2?
the sample wasn't cleared on time
Right up my alley. I consider myself a hip hop purest and I'm feeling it.
I think he should have died before MMLP1, that would have given him Big Pun/Big L status.
That was a reach wishing the guy died though? SMH
haha ya what a faggot "should've died" nigga has no life hes dead himself
who the FUCKKK wishes for people to die bitch??
Same here, By far the best song he came out with. should be on the cd. He should of died after his 3rd cd and he'd be the goat. he got to commercial with all his bitch hooks and pop beats
This shit right here... this shit right here... is dope as coke.
Absurd, this guy is ridiculous. Bars for days and days and days...
I made a song called Dont Back
Shit like this makes me so pissed that I'm 17 now rather than 17 in the early 90s or late 80s, authentic hip hop is key
Tapped into his ONYX....
enough with that pac and biggie bandwagon shit em is way better than them as are PLENTY OF OTHER RAPPERS...
Sorry to tell ya, but compare the quality of Bigs only 2 albums and they trump anything Em has ever done.
ARE YOU 12 FALL BACK AND RESPECT THE ART
" never been served as memory serves, i'll battle that till my own recollection remembers these words "
lol cmon now
fuckin samples man i wish it wouldve cleared fast enough to make the album but its all good stil an amazing track man
eminem is G O A T right after 2pac and biggie
DONT FRONT !!!
Actually Em is not even right after them.
aint that the truth
enough with that pac and biggie bandwagon shit em is way better than them as are PLENTY OF OTHER RAPPERS
Cant help but move your head !!!
Hook is weak....
It can't be any weaker then the verses are!!!
Not being funny but SALES do not have anything to do with quality, nothing does.
It is ALL about opinion, you can have your own, share someone else's or just blindly hang on what others have said.
The album is neither good nor bad, it is for YOU the listener to fucking decide whether you like it.
Sick of seeing shit like oh 2Pac sold this, Snoop sold that, Drake sold 31289376812432864 copies in a week... they are only numbers, they don't mean shit... just because a lot of people bought something, doesn't make it better or worse. Everyone needs to think for themselves and form their own opinion and base it on what they personally rate about the album and back their shit up with more than how many sales something got.
Dumbass, talk about the track on this page
Shut the fuck up
THE KING OF RAP
Album got a 4.7 on pitchfork... so basically this album is a stankin turd.
Eminem is one skillful rapper but the album is bad.
"he uses more Filberty flopperty flips than bill cosby
Yeezus got higher then MMLP2 on this site as well and almost ever single site. Its just a better album then MMLP2 which says alot about how horrid the beats and hooks are Stanley
they should kill themselves
Everyone knows Pitchfork is the last place to go for hip hop reviews.they hate anything mainstream too and any rapper that focuses on rhymes and flows ...go there for what they started as a indie rock site
4.7 ? they obviously don't know hip hop. respect the white boy with skill trying to bring lyrics back. rappers these days are frauds!
never heard of pitchfork til now
Pitchfork Media are the same jackoffs that gave Yeezus a 9.5. I don't wanna hear shit from them.
need a verse from buckshot shorty, great otherwise.
Dope, need more of this
Check out my song below ft an interview from Drake! Real music that people can relate too!
This album is dope. MMLP 2 different production that you wont like at first because it sounds really different and unconventional and that's how Rick and and Marshal wanted it. But once you listen more than once you really learn to appreciate it. Def not the caliber of his old stuff, but still dope and different. And stop hating on Recovery. People who say he wasn't spittin on that album are ignorant. Listen to 'Cold Wind Blows' 'On Fire' and 'Seduction.' All fire. One or two songs were really commercial. The rest was dope.
That's the realist review on this album, still if you gotta listen twice to get into it, it aint touching his older classic / GOAT cd's. it was hella aight
I guess I'm the only one that noticed Eminem's wack ass-white trash flow and lyrics don't even go with this classic Beatminerz beat.
I got all the Justin bieber and Drake Albums on Vinyl BOY, That some real hip hop!!!
You clearly don't have an ear for this shit. This beat got slaughtered. Must've all gone over your head.
You can't blow the straw house down. Time to go back into the woods, Grandma.
"from boy to man, and still make a whore moan(hormone) like a thyroid gland." -Em
wow, i think he's going over ya'll heads alittle bit.
instead of two steppin', try listening to good rap lyrics you turds!
This weak shit though?
Man this is whack lol
Nah, the first Anon got it right Stanley Mayweather
^what he said.
ur just not a smart person
here is my top 10 based on lyrics but also song quality..
1. Groundhog Day
2. Don't Front
3. Bad Guy
4. Evil Twin
8. Beautiful Pain
9. Rap God
10. Wicked Ways
i think wicked ways got the 2nd hardest beat on the whole album
but wont sell near what recovery did doesnt have that same buzz
nigga this sold more than recovery already look it up
Won't sell as much as vanilla ices album either. Won't sell as much as any of biggies albums or snoops debut etc
So what's your point? What has selling have to do anything?
This track was suppose to be on the album, didnt have the samples cleared in time.
This song is lyrically amazing.
Em is hands down the most lyrical rapper of all time. 2pac comes very close, but NOBODY touches Em.
It's the truth...if you don't know..then you should go on RapGenius and read along every word to every song. Most of his lyrics go over people heads and/or they simply just don't understand them. OR, as your typical incompetent person would say, "his lyrics aren't hood enough, hip hop comes from the hood".
Em is a better Lyricist but Pac can make songs twice as good as this Popstar
Macklemore went platinum. If he drops in a market similar to the late 90s when em dropped, you can make an argument he'd sell like Em.
But Pharoahe Monch is either just ahead or just behind Em in lyrical technics. "Evolve" off his W.A.R. album is just one awesome example. Monch never stopped progressing as a lyricist either.
i guess i was wrong about the 2 pac comment, but i stand behind Em being the best lyrically. name someone as good as Em that sells just as many records.
and dont even say that he sells records because hes white- because no other white rapper is selling like Em.
You need to listen to more hip hip man.
tupac comes nowhere remotely close to em and many others rappers in a lyrical and rhyme-skills sense
u lil gay lookin boy
thats so gay that he calls Proof dewdee
Best Rapper Alive
murda fya 5
WHERR THE F*CK IS WICKED WAYS!!!!?!?!?
I wish more of this type of tone of em was on the the m.m. lp2. expected a lot more from that album, and why isn't "wicked ways" on this site?, its the best track on his album. Still the best lyricist/rapper alive tho.
Wow!Good music,dt beat is soulful...#Dope#
There is guys whole Eminem - MMLP2 album free for download on link below, also its HQ with 320kbps
Haters? Where are they? This beat just got ripped to shreds. He's back!
I'm talking strictly from a hip hop point of view. Not a pop point of view album sales point of view or a Stan point of view.
The album ain't great. Now recovery was definitely his worst album and this album is better then that pop album but it's still not good. This track proves how much better it could have been.
It is getting respect and its got really good reviews not sure what the fuck ur talking about
He's back? Have you heard his album? This track is sick. But it didn't make the album. Lol. If the album sounded like this record then it might be more respected.
If Em was more focused like this on his albums he could create a classic. Bodied this track
3 classic albums? FOH 2 classic albums and even thats a stretch.
^^^Bad music is bad music regardless of current age and status and previous milestones.
This track clearly shows he can still do it, but just isnt doing it.
1) He's 41 years old and the father of a teenage girl
2) He's rich as fuck and has a cemented legacy
3) Has AT LEAST 3 classic albums already
He has nothing to prove at this point, any more work we get from him is icing on the cake. This last album, along with this song are fire. Dude is still killing it.
man this beat sounds like it was reproduced by dilla. it has those pauses that dilla used to do...but yeah I love how em is showing who influenced him. he's on top of mountains looking down jack
why wasn't this on the album? hip hop needs these kinda beats!
Sample wasnt cleared in time
Same flow, same lyricism, and same wordplay as MMLP2, yet ironically, many praise this as a perfect five and rate MMLP2 as a mediocre 3 just because this track has an old school beat. I swear, I'd guarantee you many would call MMLP2 a classic if the verses remained the same and the beats were substituted by instrumentals such as this one. "It's all about the lyricism", yet you judge the beat and dare to call Recovery a pop piece of shit. Chew on some bricks, Stans!
This beat is better then anything else on the album WTF are you talking about. Also this hook is....WHAT FOR IT...Not poppy bullshit. Stop with the Stanism
Agree with you guys. The production on MMLP2 is really awful. Em can't balance his lyrics with good production anymore. That's what makes an album whole. Rick Ruben is 0 for 3 this year...Kanye, Jay and now Em.
Exactly. The album is terrible. This song is better then every track on it. Why? Because it's got a sick beat and sick lyrics.
That's all we want. Phipps hop is all about the lyrics AND the beat. You can't have one with out the other.
Illmatic wouldn't be a classic if he had eminems Marshall Mathers lp 2 beats.
Ready to die, 36 chambers, the sun rises in the east, doggystyle, Cuban Linx, criminal minded, the chronic, low end theory etc
They are all classic albums because the production is flawless and lyrics are tight.
THATS ALL WE WANT. BRING BACK HIP HOP.
EMINEM AND JAY Z AND EVERYOTHER RESPECTED BUT FALLEN OFF ARTIST NEEDS TO RAP OVER BEATS LIKE THIS.
way to go rocket scientist...you just cracked the code that albums need good beats to sound good...face it, mmlp2 has booty ass production...shit is garbage and basic as fuck...
You're right...but you couldn't be more wrong. Em is one of the best lyricists in the world, but lyrics over beats people don't like gets a 3 tops. Maybe we're all stuck in the 90s, but that's what we like. Em on an old Boot Camp beat 10 out of 5! (That's right! 5 bonus points! 200%!). Em on one of these new, synth heavy pop beats earns respect and a rating of 3.
haha you'r right, thats what I noticed. It'sfunny to hear tho.
My drake side has really been showing the last couple of weeks and i dont know hot to turn that back around its a serious issue.
Lupe Fiasco my favorite rapper cuz he's so real.
Authentic Hip Hop beats! Go to
Hiphop where my construction Tim's @ fucca
Back to the lyrics, might have to get this album.
this track should have been included on the album..
He wanted to have it on the album. The sample didn't clear on time.
Let the GOD rhyme.
the good stuff
Good beat, shit song.
Awesome as always
Buckshot did nada on this song. they used his old voice on the song. smh
nigga read buckshots interview
G-DDAMN THAT WAS FIRE!!
+hiphopdx Email me something so I can decide whether to report the website for not accepting my vote on the link above. Just try it.
Who the full passed you the mic?
Wow best song from this album.
the best one I've heard so far, nobody can really fuck with him
eminem = white nas
Amen to the Anonymous above me
wrong. Eminem is Eminem, the rap god. Nas is the black Eminem.
This man is a prodigy and will remain that way every time he hits the mic.
shot outs to Proof
dopest eminem song i heard in a while. havent listened to the album yet though..
This sh!t right here is straight FIRE. I mean... With "Bad Guy", "Rap God" "Brainless" "Love Game" "Evil Twin" "GroundHog Day" "Don't Front" "Wicked Ways" and "GroundHog Day" (Yes, it's listed twice because that track eviscerates all other competition), I don't know what else your MFers are looking for.
and this is why Eminem is not in the same category with the rest of these white rappers. this mothafuca knows his hip hop.. shit brings back memories. I bet all you young ass cats don't know shit about black moon.. but I bet you do now. CLASSIC EM, LOV IT.. BIG UP TO BUC SHOT....
fuck you. i hate you old hip hop heads yall are faggots. is it our fault we're young? you make assumptions that niggas dont study the game. fyi ive known about black moon since high school u fuck boy bitch. open ur mind. seek to bring knowledge to other motherfuckers who are without. you sound mad arrogant and you sound like a bitch saying what you said. hiphop is about unity and you're just trying to divide it.
FUCKING AMAZING...FIRE MARSHALL!!
Didn't even listen yet. 5 HANDS down
DONT FRONT! EMINEM IS LIKE NAS ON ILLMATIC!
DOPE AS HELL!
Its not on the actual album because it doesnt fit with the concept, but its fuckin dope.
And you guys thought he lost it..
thanks for throwin' a bone to the old folks, mr. mathers. sad times when theres /this/ and then theres the /other/ stuff he does. only thing this is missing is the weed smoke in the booth that made the original so fucking amazing. first verse sounds like he had a spirulina smoothie and a honey tea before he hit the booth. 2nd verse he relaxes into the flow, gets conversational, and really plays that trademark "increase-the-desperation/intensity" thing he does with his voice. 3rd verse is technically dope, but i'm personally not believing his resentment. all said, it's a great showcase of what he can do. too bad i don't hear this coming out of the cars that pass by.
Rick Ross calls eminem a honkie on youtube... search it....
This should've been on the original album! Classic!
why didnt this make the album though
It was on the Call of Duty Ghost Edition of the album.
Classic tune . em thank u for fucking up this classic tune u dick.ur mmlp2 cd is poor at best ,
yeah he's terrible...unrippable..g.o.a.t.
Ooooooooooo weeeeeee. Wow,
Good job em. Classic.
I'm making my own tracklist now. Goodbye survival, Asshole, monster.
GAY. Perfect album from start to finish.
you don't like woman?
damn this shit has that beastie boys feel with the rawness of em.
good shit...but Buckshot is only on the hook...im still waiting for that Em feat Tech N9ne on a Dj Premier beat
tech is too scared to get on a track with the goat.
this is fucking incredible
Shame mmlp2 did nt sound like this..... Finally eminem raps on a hip hop beat without some corny bitch on the hook
Somewhere flex just ran outta bombs, this shit is fire
Tech N9ne featuring Snow Tha Product, Twisted Insane & Wrekonize.
Numbers are out and shady fucking does it again
that last verse is nuts, lota content lol
I gave this 1 star because Slim Gaydy ruined a black moon classic. Buckshot voice isso much better than feminem's pee wee herman voice.
maaaannnnnnn... "no opponents can compete, and I've never been known to retreat from beef..." good fuckin God this goes hard.
Pretty solid song
Eminem is wack.... fuck nas too and jayz and rakim , fuck bigl , fuck tupac , fuck biggie smalls , fuck all them wack niggaz
haha, apparently YOU didn't get it... that was sarcasm for the sarcastic.
kpfingaz is smart wack nigga.
I see what you did there. Nice list. Aim80 just didn't get it.
All hail King Drake/Wayne/Waka/2 Chainz, etc.... right? Right...
That's the second Doberman reference love it Rap God.
Em should of released a 90's theme mixtape with tracks like this to promote the album
Ahahahaha, kids these days... Of course it says DJ Green Lantern. It's a mixtape. Mixtapes are made by DJs.
Also, Re-Up was a mixtape, by The Alchemist
Wrong. The Invasion mixtapes are officially dj green lanterns. I have em both and both are listed under dj green lantern. do a search for them and you'll see. yes he was signed to shady, and yes shady records & eminem are all over them, but they are green lanterns mixtapes.
Invasion 1 & 2 were official Eminem mixtapes by DJ Green Lantern. He was actually signed to Shady records at the time.
The invasion mixtapes were dj green lanterns, not eminems.
Actually, he has 2 mixtapes. Invasion & Invasion 2
em has 0 mixtapes, why start now?
I rated this a 1.
Because you have lil B posters in your living room.
and you think Riff Raff is on the same level as Tupac.
Cause you're a fucking asshole
Nothin better than Eminem rappin over a 90's beat
Watching Bill Cosby smack the shit out of 50 cent would be. With pudding!
fuck who didnt rate this a five lets skin him/her alive!
When you finished typing this, did you think, "Yes, this is the perfect post. People will def feel me on this one?"
Your imagination sucks animal scrotum. And your sense of humor is up there with Hitler's.
dope as nas
Whoever chose the sequencing of the album totally fucked up. This song and others on the bonus should have made the album over songs like asshole
Best song off MMLP2 cant believe it only in the Ghosts edition.
Survival is ill, Stronger Than I Was should have been left off.
ikr. he should've left Survival off the album and add in Don't Front. Survival sucks so much ass
THIS IS WHY.... EM >
This deserves 5 stars. Great track
eminem on his illmatic shit...
Yooo, this might be one of his nastiest rhymes on par with Renegade and Rap God... Who actually gets better with age!?
whatever BUCKSHOT. no time for playhouse rhymes... its HOODIE SEASON! Buck Town BK NYC. PAPOOSE : Black God Rap God Most Lyrical Alive King Of New York... Murdering these fairy tale artist's records... BROOKLYN KEEPS ON TAKING IT!
Am I the only one that doesn't think this is that great???
imagine if jay spit this track.. heads would explode lol
"you don't like it, suck a cock" Em says it himself haha
yeah no frontin ya bish!!!
complete fire. 40 ratings and 40 5's. Guess the track was too good for even trolls.
ELIZABETH, I'M COMING TOO YOU HONEY!!!
dam this wouldve made the album that much better so sick !!!!!!
smh. this would of been the 3rd best song on his album after rap god and headlights..make that his 2nd best. rap god > this > headlights. but nooooo ofcourse eminem cuoldnt put a real rap song on a country album. wouldnt fit the theme of selling out. this songs fire
albums is way better than recovery and encore.
but how can u sit there with a straight face and say your bringing hiphop back..then have everytrack be sung on the hook, straight thru or some country bumkpin bullshit beats.
rap on rap beats with rap artists ..or stop saying your a hiphop artist.
Album wasn't country or sellout lol. Far less mainstream than Recovery.
it's a bonus song fool, look at the picture
This should eliminate all uses of the terms Stan. You can feel his passion because mad people still don't give dude the props he deserved. Still one of the iLLest to ever orchestrate on a verse. I wish he would release more material like this to be honest but times have changed. It's up to Us to bring the real shit back and stop supporting corny ass music. Peace to the Gods.
Long live Matthew Mitchell
He's back and hungry. Eating mc's...
Raw uncut Dope!!!
this so good em
Love this shit fuck survival.
Official!!! I rate this joint at a 5... The 90's sound!!!!
I'm a muslim but this is a bacon to my ears
Holy fucking fireballs!!! Hot shit right here....please bring the haters out now please GOT DAMN!!!
This is dope. Most COD players won't even give a shit about this. Should of been on the album.
Quite possibly the best Eminem song in 10years
FUCKIN DOPE! 5/5
Ill but who expected otherwise?
Shoulda came with Battlefield 4 instead of CoD though.
That's more like it em... non of this pop rap... more tracks like this and the ones with slaughterhouse
DAMNNNN.....just got the same feeling I got when I heard
At the end he should of said "This for all my trapped in the 90s N...and got interrupted by a smack in the face! shit would of been hot!!!
They should have made Survival the COD Bonus track and had this on the album. 'WHO THE FUCK PASSED YOU THE MIC?!' Yeah. Fire.
Illest rapper to hold a chordless.
Beast!!!!Why wasn't this on the album even the deluxe edition.... At least mine didn't.
you get this song when purchasing call of duty
nice old skool flavor
quality.. he needs to release all the music he did with the likes of just blaze, no i.d., dj premier etc.. there's probably a few more gems like this hidden away!!
Real hip hop
that beat !
This is the illest hip hop somg ive heard since 1997
lol...what a fail...just like the cavs!
