I was at the grocery store, perusing the well-stocked shelves of artificially manufactured food product, aisle upon aisle of the finest edible plastics and minerals known to man, when from some unseen mechanism a sound did begin to blare, whistling and warbling with reckless abandon, thinking not even of its own safety as it barreled down snowy hillside on an oversized garbage can lid, the makeshift sled throwing a mighty wake and burying any in its path. This same snow began to line the aisles until it became difficult to walk, requiring me to brace myself against the shelves. I did this and found the steel and aluminum melted into molten globules of an unfamiliar gelatinous substance, the cans and jars becoming naught but millions of glowing eyes, staring into my soul from the depths of their nebulous lair until I could feel myself becoming one of them in the overbearing heat and blackness of the imperishable goods. I fought my way desperately through the pine arches and log cabins filled with mighty smoke elementals, beyond the valley of the cybernauts, screaming with horrible resonance, my tentacles flailing uncontrollably; I fought against the invisible force that bound me to that foul slime-sheathed plateau, and in a final surge of strength and will I burst through the portal and was immediately disintegrated in a flash of light.

Here are some of the the corniest Eminem punch lines: **** the world feed it beans, gased up if it thinks its stopin' me "lift the whole liquor counter up cause I'm raising the bar" Why would I buy you a gay ass teddy bear **** you're already bipolar Tryna give me the fingers kinda like giving a spider the web Im just gonna spin it and use it to my advantage I catch a fly in that **** you think you fly you just food "I guess that's why they call it window pane" "suck my d*** on the couch if u wanna cushion the blow" Like a "f*ck you" for Christmas, his gift is a curse" "quit playin' with the scissors and shit, and cut the crap" "You can get the dick, just call me the ballsac, I'm nuts" Making yourself like a song just because you like an Artist is retarded. So far all the songs that leaked are simply terrible. There is no way I can fuck with this album. Should have called it something else because it hurts to have this relating to the first album. This further proves that Jay is GOAT but half that MCHG was lyrically corny. Tom Ford...GTFO. Nas needs to make a comeback Eminem fell the fuck off.

I don't understand why nobody hates when other rappers make track on EDM beats? Of course its a commercial track and will hit billboard at #1 position BUT LYRICALLY is TIGHT!!! Eminem is not using any fillers - Delivery is tight so as the wordplays! #MMLP2 #Classic

  • Retiring?

On the tracks bad guy and legacy he states that this is the final project of his career. is this really true? I mean wtf on recovery and that last line of the '11 BET cypher he said he aint goin nowhere for a while. also said hes hangin it up on that bme track but 2 years later here we are?...

  • Anonymous

Just bumped the whole album straight through twice and Thankfully this is one of the weaker tracks on the album. It's not bad he rips the verses at least and like many understand this is too promote and to play on radio cus most of the album is too raw and real for radio like the old Em was.. So fans and the few people who give honest opinions on here. relax and the to the losers and trolls try to keep hating

rihannas style makes this more a forgetable rihanna song than a cool em one. but i think when listening to the album throughout this song will have its place, at least as a break from all the "hot fire spittin"

  • Mike

lets get this understood about Em's pop songs on the album. It's pretty much required by his label to put out 1 or 2 radio singles. why? because that is what promotes the album the most. every one of his albums contained a pop single or 2. wtf are you morons crying about...its a solid album..

  • MikeyMike

my ratings and most underrated song listed, let me know what you think! SSLP 10/10- classic MMLP 10/10- classic Eminem Show 9/10- could of retired after this. 'till i collapse' was most underrated. Encore 6/10- some songs were skippable. 'never enough' was most underrated Relapse 7/10- the voice was played out. 'stay wide wake' was most underrated Recovery 8/10- had a few solid singles. 'seduction' was most underrated. MMLP2 7.5/10- lacks a classic single

I don't understand why Em insists on making pop songs. He has all the money u could want. his kids set-up for life. It aint like he needs to do it. He'd sell mad copies without the shit anyway. Makes no sense.

Tupac was against having the government raise the kids. He said this. When he was growing up he was basically indoctrinated into Communism. Communism/Marxism is all about having the government raise the kids. The media, and the government schools essentially do "raise the kids." I think that Tupac realized this later. That might be why he was killed. He was killed as a public spectacle like Kennedy. This has happened to other famous people who started opposing the power structure. I think that he realized how brainwashed he, and other people have been. Unfortunately, using the name "Illuminati" for a system that can be shown to exist simply associates valid research with wild conspiracy theories. This marginalizes any information which might make people start thinking. Thinking about the high-level control structure is the last thing that the elite who manipulate, and use the media, and the state want. Any form of state collectivism can benefit the controlling elite.

I tell ppl all the time, if he were black he'd be the mohammad ali of rap" - Rakim "If I didnt find slim he wouldve been a success shortly after anyways cuz hes just so damn talented" - Dr. Dre "The best rapper of all time to infinity is Eminem" - The game in a recent interview a few years back Many many more I cant think of on the top of my head.

  • Dr Dre

You let me down slim shady. I don't do this pop shit.

    • former Drefan

You lost your touch Dre. You can't produce classic tracks anymore. That's why you ask DJ Khaled or Alex da Kid to produce your tracks nowadays, cuz you got no inspiration. Better stop with the steroids, smoke some good weed and hope the inspiration comes back.

Yes according to generations of white suburban kids.

  • Ananamaas

This song is a classinc. Rihanna kills it and so does Eminem. Hip-hop is a predominately black genre with only a few white people. There is no doubt that Eminem is the best of all the rappers be it our nigga bros. If Tupac were alive, I'd love what would have happened till now to the genre....

ahhahahahahah, Jay-Z laughing, Nas Laughing, Drake who just went platinum laughing. I doubt these guys are scared of eminem. not saying shady doesnt have some better verses than them.

  • Terrible

People buy corny shit. They give Eminem a pass because his first three albums are classics and think he can do no wrong. Since Encore he's put out a lot of terrible music. This is a terrible song. "I asked if my skin pale, would I then sell like Eminem or Adele?" -J. Cole

    • im black

im black n think eminem is a beast, granted his new shit is mehh and this song is wack as far as the country and rhianna feel go, but em is one of the greatest to pic up a mic, if u deny that then your a hater and not a hip hop head, its past the nigga being white, hes just nice, period, so no dickhead, not all black people are mad, just drake fans and lil gay wayne fans are and 13-18 year old skinny jean boys are

    • eltons biggest fan

jcole is light like drake and tht fuck boy sells, j hole just sucks as a "mainstream" artist and hes just wack in general, lol this song is corny cuz rhianna on the hook and has a fuckin country beat/feel to it, but lets be real that quote was just irrelevant..you sound like benzino typing that line lol

    MMLP 10/10 (Classic) SSLP 10/10 (Classic) Eminem Show 8/10 Infinite (8/10) Relapse (7/10) Recovery (6/10) Encore (4/10) MMLP2 = ?/10

  • Dave from Compton

Hip Hop started in the streets and it will forever be in the streets, the fact of the matter is. Nobody in the streets is listening to eminem, only kids from the burbs. I ain't feelin this track, i don't care how lyrical he is, it's fuckin wack in the streets. Only people in the urban community (not suburban ) should have say to what is dope hip hop and what isn't, this is NOTHING special. Kids from the suburbs tend to think just because a rapper is "lyrical" that makes them great! 2Pac , Too Short, Eazy E, and many many others weren't the most complex rappers but they are more legends, why? Because they kept it street. These underground, and lyrical cats can rhyme as many words out of the dictionary that they want and it is still wack in the streets why? Wack subject matter, wack beats, nobody wants to listen to any of that. People wake up, street hip hop (biggie, 2pac, big l , jeezy, dmx ) any rapper that reps the streets, YES even 50 will have more respect than these lyrical cats, because hip hop IS the streets, and if the streets aren't feelin it, than it doesn't matter how versatile you are, wack is wack no matter what and kids from the burbs need to stop givin this shit 5 stars!

thats just your narrow mindset stuck in the streets, which is why u will be a fuking loser your whole life, becuz instead of trying to get outta the streets your falling right into the white man plan of ghettoization. good luck tho

    • elton john

but eminem is a beast though, whn you used to rap with street dudes, so waht are you talking bout, granted ya list is crazy nice. to say em is wack i think is a force, his new shit n this song maybe not all that nice, but overall as a rapper hes killing cats. most of those dude you even name he'd smash on except biggie, he killed dmx on his own shit, early em kept up witbigie on his old shit, jeezy went n got em to do a hook for em, he prob rocked wit pac before he died considering they was under the same camp n he was behind the scenes before pac died, so just cuz he not rappin bout shoot em up bang bang n slanging n trapping i nthe game its not hot lol..

  • Kizman

To the Eminem fans who say niggas is scared to feature him on songs. Bad vs Evil Royce was pretty much bodying Em on every song. Keep it real you have to be a big fan to not realize how much this dude fell off. And if this next album sounds like the crap he has been producing himself its gonna be straight trash.

    • storm

only little kids think royce bodies em, royce had one verse on track 8 that was better than eminems verse was on track 8. there was a huge difference in how natural and smooth eminems bars came off compared to royce's. the whole album sounded like royce was just trying to keep up. he still killed it but not like em.

    • elton grammy

i mean his verses was crazy on that renagade beat, n this was when jigga was in his prime n up was still producing if not on only his 2nd album, so yeah he outshined jigga on his own shit, for nas to mention it was paying homage to the fact..as for bad meets evil i wouldnt say every track n i wouldnt even say he bodied em, we all know royce is 2nd best like he said.. royce know he not overall better than em. "im rapping with the beast rapper alive put suttin on it, yall sound plain as a cheesburger with nothing on it"

    • Kizman

@ok, You gotta be a fan to say Royce wasn't bodying Em. Let me not say he was bodying Em, But his verses where way better in my opinion. Bodying such a harsh word. Its sort of like how Nas gassed niggas to think Em completely Bodied Jigga. Sure Em had better verses on Renegade but he didn't completely body Jay, his verse was just better. People forget the fact that Renegade is more of Eminem style then Jay-Z anyway. Bottom Line, Royce was bodying "Bad meets Evil" and killed Em on mostly every track the sameway Em killed Jigga on Renegades. Its not a big deal cause Royce is still trying to get on and Em been there and done. Basically Royce still spit like he is hungry and Em spit like he already ate.

most of these song titles scream the same shit about fame and about the mood he was in then vs now...."legacy" "so far" "stroner than I was" "desperation" we better be gettin some unique tracks like seduction or untitled stay wide awake, same song and dance, welcome 2 hell, stan, til i collapse etc etc

  • lezbehonest.

Ems verses on point- no shocker.. now the beat is the worst i ever heard Em rap on. the hook is pretty much shit that was forced to make a 'hit'. this track would of been cool with anyone else but weere not used to hearing Em sell out this hard so its new to everyone.. its a cool track to vibe to. but u expect more than a lazy hook from eminem.

Look I'm not even mad about someone using my name, what I am mad about though is that people in this world have secrets and mine was that I'm gay. What the fuck was I think using my full name..? FUCK! If my dad found out I was gay he'd beat me. Guys please just don't say anything, I promise I'll stop trolling here. holy fuck dont EVER mention recovery and ES in the same sentence unless it goes like... 'recovry was cool but it was to mainstream for eminem nothing like the classic of ES.'

    • Anonymous

Recovery should never be mentioned in the same sentence as the Eminem Show. TES is a hiphop classic, and the best album Eminem has ever done. Only weak song is drips, and that doesn't count since it is not on the Clean Version of the album. EVERY other song is a classic. 10/10 rating. Recovery is Eminems worst album, and a terrible album. Yelling to overcompensate for lack of substance. Not higher than 3/10 rating.

Chris if you hate the song so much why are you trolling here posting so much? Fuck off already, you've made your opinion clear.. and to answer your stupid ass question, LTWYL was Em's best selling single and a lot of people think this song is better. Em has a history of selling a lot of records and he knows what he needs to do to do it again. It's really not that hard to figure out. The songs not even that bad even though the beat is a bit popish. If you are questioning Em's beat selection and think this is whack go listen to the snippet of Evil Twin on the Shady Records youtube channel...

cuz of these beats and pop chick hooks he wont go down as a great to underground hip hop fans and in the streets its too bad tho cuz hes a great lyricist most of the time

  • jasonnns

  • jurgen

again with the facking stupid hooks... maybe a dj will pull the vocals and make it into a better song.

    • ffff

The verses aren't that great either by the way. It again sounds like a washed up/sell out EM. Enough of this pop bullshit, at least half of this album will be ruined by stupid pop artists recovery 2.0 style.

  • Anonymous

Dope MMLP2 will be a great album

  • Dee

Good track hope album sounds more like rap god

  • Dee

Em is a legend who made it without selling out or dumbing it down so how the fuck is he a sell out now? He raps cus he loves it and if u heard hell the sequel and rap god and the cypher he still spits harder then most U people confuse what sell out is .

  • Anonymous

U fools need to open your ears..rap fans are the most close minded music fans in the world only on this site is this track getting hate .. Trolls and haters all over here and just cus Rihanna on the hook it's pop when jay does it kayne does Wayne does it He tried to tell you on rap god . He's fucking 40 he's rapping about real life shit . Wtf u want from him

    • Anonymous

yeah im really emo homie cus i understand lyrics fucking clown..Funny same dude on here hating just changing stupid names..agree with the fact that these verses go over most people's heads especially the fools on this site

    • ccc

They probably said he was good before Recovery came out.. Now they must think he's like every other rapper trying to sell out on corny pop beats. He didn't get all those accolades from those real hiphop heads from Recovery, thats for sure.

    • QueenBee

lh8feminem: I wish his dik was in your mouth so you would shut the FUK up!

Co-sign!!!! Jay Z, Redman, Game, Chuck D, Rakim, Luda, Busta, 50, Dre. All of these cats you can find on youtube saying Em is one of if not the best ever!!! All these ppl saying Em's music is crap and he fell off ect. Guess those trolls think the names listed above don't know shit about Rap!!!

    • Ih8feminem

  • QueenB

Shut the fuk up about the shoulda coulda woulda's and enjoy the music with ya cry baby asses

  • iamhiphop

I'm an Eminem fan, but I'm not feeling this. Rap God and Berzerk are dope and Survival is ok, but The Monster is weak. Love The Way You Lie is better than this; it had emotion and soul. This is just a generic pop-rap song. I hope the rest of MMLP2 doesn't sound this.

  • Rap fan

Whos that haystak guy he mentions?

  • Anonymous

He doesn't need to be making radio hits, with this dudes fan base plus the Interscope machine behind him, radio would come to him.

  • Anonymous

wtf guys? My name is was a radio single, the real slim shady was a radio single, without me was a radio single. Do you compare those classica with this shit?! U fuckin kiddin me?

    • me

Those songs were kinda corney.. "wanna see me stick 9 inch nails through each one of my eye lids" On the Slim song he talks about ripping Pam Lee's (Anderson) tits off!!! Huge fan of Em's I love the new stuff, but come on with that those were classics. Ems classics were Stan, Loose Yourself and I am. At least the radio classics. They couldn't play his other classics. Still don't give a fuck, Crazy on you (best anti love song ever) Kim, ect...

    • me kid

You better know yo place "Will Smith don't gotta cuss in his raps to sell records Well, I do. So fuck him and fuck you too You think I give a damn about a Grammy Half of you critics can't even stomach me, let alone stand me "But Slim, what if you win, wouldn't it be weird" Why? So you guys could just lie to get me here So you can sit me here next to Britney Spears Shit, Christina Aguilera better switch me chairs So I can sit next to Carson Daly and Fred Durst And hear 'em argue over who she gave head to first"

Any time you have a pop singer doing the hook imo its not hiphop and it sounds fuckin garbage..

  • Chris Etrata

"Decade?? You must be joking?? Is this a joke?" That's subjective but to me, even though eminem is still better than most of the new rappers, he's fallen off and artists like Nas, K Dot, and Macklemore are challenging him. He's like Jay Z where he started to work with pop artists instead of being true to his roots.

  • Chris Etrata

Aside from Monster or any of the tracks released from mmlp2, what's your worst track from an eminem album?

    • Me

LOL Ja Rule fan above!!! Rain man was a diss to Ja Rule, he just didn't say him by name. All those songs were done as joking songs, like a Tom Green skit or something, just to break the monotony -- (Yes I know I spelled that wrong)

    • Anonymous

Fack, Puke, Rain Man, Insane, We Made You, etc.

  • Anonymous

It got a nice rnb beat, better than all that fucking techno beat/shit, the chorus sounds pop , stan got a pop chorus, the lyrics are on point. Its a single to push the album, most of Eminems singles are the worst tracks of the album.

  • imho

i dont wanna her EM has to make a song for the raido shit.. bec ANYTHING em raps on can be for the radio..shit 3am on relapse was on the fuckin radio. em just getting older and lazier so he dont wnana put in the effot.. if he pushed rap god hard itd be all over the pl. em do nt need this singing bullshit to get a hit ever. songs decent thats about it. listenable but very veryyy forgetable unlike ltwyl.

  • EKSEL_562

I got all kinds of hip hop new bootys googling the "BlastMaster"!! Damm toys!! HAHAHA

  • EKSEL_562

And if you don't know who the BlastMaster is... then you've just proven my case about the kind of "hip hop heads" frequent this site! "STEP YA GAME UP!"

  • EKSEL_562

The music being put out lately just makes me disheartened about the state of hip hop. If you're in the Los Angeles area and don't know what REAL HIP HOP is supposed to sound like?? Go get you some tickets to RHYMEFEST-LA and listen to the "Teacher" AKA "BlastMaster"... November 15th.. Thank God for shows like these...

  • EKSEL_562

Is this a hip hop website?!?! I can't believe what I'm reading!! And for those of you that are praising this cut as a throwback 90's cut, need to GET CUT!! This sounds nothing like the dope shit put out in the 90's!! And I've never been one to profess that the music now is wack because it's now. There's a lot of dope shit out right now, but this isn't it! THis song is wack from beginning to end. The beat is super-wack, the hook is same ol' Rhianna industry ladened b/s, and the lyrics aren't even dope! And I am actually a fan of Em! But this is straight industry garbage that I never thought Em would give in to! This isn't hip hop at all! Oh... and it's not even good as a pop jam! I thought I was listening to some Katy Perry shit! (which is actually even better than this garbage! LMAO) Rap God is a lyrical masterpiece, with a dope hip hop beat and some of Em's wickedest flows.... BUT THIS!!?? Some of ya'll need to go back and re-educate yourselves on good music, because this is just TRASH!

    • EKSEL_562

@brotherteresa First of all, nice screen name! LOL clever! 2nd, agreed.... but doesn't change the fact that this song is horrible in any respect. 3rd, no kid here! Been a hip hop head since 1980!

    • brotherteresa

this is straight industry garbage that I never thought Em would give in to! Easy there, kid. There was a time when Em could use shock humor to sell records in place of commercialized pop, but those days are long gone (the humor of Tom Green, Degeneration X, and Slim Shady don't carry the same weight they once did). And that's fine. Pop songs with Rihanna get Em PAID, while tracks like Rap God get him RESPECT. Ain't a top rapper alive who hasn't been featured on some industry garbage. Just the way it is.

    • imho

@eksel. for real preeeech. but i think ems verses had substance and that was literally the ONLY thing good about the song.

    • Chris Etrata

Cosign. If I want pop crap, I'll listen to flo rida and pitbull. Im don't want to hear a lyrical genius embarass himself.

    • Anonymous

I'm not saying he has to cater to hip hop heads at all, or that it shouldn't have been put on this site. What I'm saying is, is that the comments defending this garbage are all saying that it's a radio song/pop song, whateva.... Em is one of the best MC's ever, but this song is horrible no matter what genre it's representing. "It has a message!" Shit! Man in the Mirror has a message! "The Message" has a message.... the only message this song has is that the industry can taint any artist when enough greenbacks are offered! I'll end this by saying thank the Lord for underground hip hop and mix tapes.

    • Anonymous

he's doesn't have to cater to the hip-hop heads all the time

    • Anonymous

it's an eminem song... why wouldn't they put it up... there is allota dope shit out and technically em is still ill, sure the sound is really watered down and lyrically not on top but to compare it to the 90's saying they were better is retarded, the amount of times i've seen these kinda comments is ridiculous.

  • anonyermom

Maaan Em.. Letting me down man, letting me down. Thought Slim Shady was back. Guess I'll have to wait another ten years to see if he comes back.

In what sense do you mean Em is 'officially done'? I'm no fan of this song but he's still going to sell millions of his new LP, and if you mean in a sense that he'll lose respect with rap fans, just look at all the actual rappers that still talk about how great he is. Tech N9ne was just praising 'Rap God'. Officailly done in no sense at all mate.

I'm feeling this beat. Not em-like at all but has a throw-back early nineties vibe. Better than expected.

  • wack but smart

releasing this a week before was very smart. yes its a pop cross over track but eminem is mega superstar he has to do at least one song for his multi billion$ label those greedy fucks wouldnt let it out without one track like this.. the beat is only the pop thing about it. rhianna killed the hook on recovery that song just got overplayed AND was super successful thats why ppl hate it-jealousy. u retards havent figured it out 7 albums/14 years later? his singles never reflect the other 85 percent of the lp. Pac nas biggie jay and pther greats as well as wack rappers always have rnb or pop singers on hook THEN AND NOW

    • Dave

Bullshit. Survival: garbage. Berzerk: garbage. Rap God: raw The Monster: garbage. Now we have heard 4 songs from an album with 20 cuts (1 skit). 3 are terrible, 1 is good. It's safe to say that from the track record, we can expect the Skylar Grey cut to be garbage, along with the cut with Nate Reuss (from Fun since they suck balls). The chances of the other songs being great are slim to none. Aside from a couple of high moments, it's looking to be a complete formulaic follow up to Recovery. Dre puts his stamp on anything, and Rubin is fucking washed up. He's destroyed everything he's touched in the last 5 years. Saying that 85% of this album will be good is laughable. Fuck Eminem.

What's wrong with getting a hip hop song on the radio to bring attention to the rest of the album. I swear you yanks are all retarded, listen to some grime like devlin and dizzee rascal or at least lunar c.

    • Anonymous

Mainly yanks on this site and they are mainly retarded. Its very different to an I phone because you cant download an iphone and use it for free like you can with music you fucking idiot. All the singles are good.

    • jake

his first album was fucking huge and guess what songs were on the radio getting peoples attention? just don't give a fuck and guilty conscience..you don't need soft pop shit to be on the radio. that's a ridiculous thing to say. he could release something his core fans actually want to hear and it would be just fine. remember it's nobody's obligation to support an artist even if we're fans. artists are a business selling a product. if apple makes a bad phone, you don't buy it. if eminem makes bad music it's the same exact thing. he's marketing to a bunch of fucking teenage girls with this shit instead of his core listeners that gave him his current fame.

    • OVO

We are not all Yanks, you fucking stupid twat!

  • Frank

You people need to realize that he's in a major label like interscope and that means at least one track for the radio.. Why you have to be dissapointed about this and not cheer up about Rap God? BTW I liked that song, awesome lyrics

  • 617

you guys gotta realize this mans talent hes released 4 songs and each on of them is a different style. Berzerk- old school Survival- rock/rap Rap God- straight rap The Monster- Pop/rap. Hes covering all bases. just shows how versatile he is

I honestly don't mind any direction that Eminem takes now. He's a proven legend in the game. He's already had some of the best verses ever, his numbers speak for themselves. He doesn't have to make great rap music if he wants, he can team up with pop stars and make radio hits at this point. What I don't like is blind Eminem fans or any other fans who will make excuses and still try to claim these songs are better than all the other rap music put out this year. It's getting the most 5/5 on this site but we all know besides rap god, every other song put out from MMLP is some pop musics new age shit. wtf.

  • Anonymous

Correction: MMLP2* , no disrespect to MMLP

  • Anonymous

Y'ALL STANS ARE HILARIOUS. Any other rap comes out with this it would be 1/5. wow.

  • R.Pgh

I don't know why people are so shocked that he puts out MTV type singles. Have you not followed him since his first album? He's always had pop singles. The only difference is now he's doing songs with pop artist instead of making fun of them. This song sucks just like much of his radio jingles do. He'll have some great songs on his albums mixed with a lot of filler radio trash like this.

  • YES

yes.Kendrick,Eminem & Macklemore are returning Hip-Hop to the mainstream. these fags like Sage The Gemini,Rocko,Future,Rich Homie Quan keep puttin out whack shit to the masses poisoning youth and pissing Real Hip-Hop Heads off with all that clone shit

  • Mark

that anonymous guy mentioned eminem doesnt have to make music for the radio is absolutely right, Eminem doesnt, but who are we to tell him any different...one song for the radio out of 15 tracks or so? The stans are the same faggots that think My Name Is was a great song, it was annoying as shit but there is a message behind it right? This song has that too. Also stop comparing albums, different times in their lives

  • Anonymous

Ppl making excuses for this guy, "this is for the radio," are u kidding me, this is Em the Rap God, the biggest selling Hip Hop artist of all time. The biggest fan base of any rapper, why does he need to make songs for the radio at this stage of his career. He doesn't need to be pleasing no label after all the records he's sold. If anybody could've redirected the ears of this generation to proper Hip Hop music, this guy could've done it b/c he has the fan base, Em can put out an album with no radio hits nd it would still sell, why, b/c he has the fan base, but no, he puts this out, from reading the comments u can see the disappointment from some of the stans on here

  • A

It's not his fault he's changed with the times & you haven't. Grab a brain. No one wants to be the same version of themselves forever. He can do whatever he wants & call it whatever he wants. He doesn't have to justify it to anyone & especially not you. I think the new track is dope.

    • Anonymous

No u need to grab a brain nd understand where I'm coming from, just read most of the comments on here, ppl are disappointed with this record, I'm not saying he should be Slim Shady, I'm all for growing with your art, it's actually the real thing to do, Nas has been able to pull that off, u can't be 40 doing nd saying the same things as when u were 20, my contention is with the sound, u know this is not a Hip Hop record, he has the fan base. If you're a Hip Hop artist make music HipHopper want to hear, let the pop crowd join us. To borrow from Field of Dreams "Ppl will still listen if he makes it, that's Hip Hop

Verses are good. Chorus is terrible but this is definitely the radio single so it's kinda expected.

  • gaddic

WEAK Pop garbage. It's expected though Em needs a Radio single I just hoped it would have actually been a respectable pop track this is bad, very bad I am sorry. Album still can be quality though but these singles are no impressive AT ALL (excluding: Rap God).

  • Dude

i think the song will be a hit, but IDK about this album being labeled MMLP2. It sounds nothing like the first one, and thats going to through alot of fans off. This album should be called, Slim's Lyrical Exercise. Cause that's exactly what it is.

There are the hardcore hip hop fans and the fans that are just looking for a song to connect to but everyone has to troll on about other people's opinions of music. Its childish and stupid

  • static

its a hit for him and a message in it i salute it.

  • Chris Etrata

"Eminem himself doesn't need to sell out. But his record label needs him to have some radio hits in order for the album to sell and for them to make a profit by the end of the year. If he was an independent artist his music would prob sound a bit different." Take macklemore for example. He makes the music only he wants to make and they are still far bigger hits than most rappers trying to sell out.

  • Anonymous

The only song out of four of the released songs from MMLP2 that even can be reminiscent to MMLP1 is Rap God. All the others are too poppy/radio oriented. I've been an Eminem fan since I've been 10 and honestly this dude has completely changed his style. Its blasphemous for Eminem to even call this album a sequel to the classic MMLP1, at least retain some dignity and call it something else. I'm kinda disappointed in Eminem, its like he's lost his lyrical/story telling ability and traded it for radio pop punch lines. Resurrecting "Slim Shady" is more than just dyeing his hair back blonde, its going back to his old method of rapping. And he said that he was bringing back straight up hip hop in Berzerk. I just think the change in Eminem's style shows how hip hop is changing today. There are only a few real hip-hip artists that produce pure hip-hop (ex K-Dot). Lets just face it, the game has evolved. R.I.P Hip-hop and R.I.P Slim Shady.

    • Anonymous

Let's not wait until the 5th track drops. MMLP was gritty, dark, funny and crazy flows. Take any 4 songs from that album and you know its good shit. You can easily use these 4 songs to base an opinion for the rest of the new album. It's all gona sound similar, he's trying too hard in my opinion. Forced music.

    • But...

In Em's... and everyone else who wants to listen to MMLP2's defense, we've only heard 3-4 tracks off the album. Let's wait til the 5th to decide whether the overall feel of the album is that of MMLP.

    • Chris Etrata

Eminem's always talking about battling his demons when his demons were the reason why he became successful.

    • gaddic

Berserk had a dope beat but silly goofy lyrics nothing special.Survival was a game soundtrack track idk how the hell that made it on the album. This is just straight mediocrity from Em

    • Chris Etrata

Real Slim Shady is still one of the best hiphop songs out there. Even Love the Way You Lie at least didnt sound gay.

    • Anonymous

Right, just the fact that he's released 4 singles off this one album speaks volumes to how much he's changed. "The Real Slim Shady" would have been one of the best selling Hip-Hop singles of all time and he never put that shit out as a single. Even had a song called "My First Single" on Encore that obviously wasn't released as a single

    • Chris Etrata

I actually liked Bezerk but cosign everything else. I wouldn't mind him calling it recovery 2 but why call it mmlp2 if the tracks are remiscent of recovery.

  • Dope

Will you haters shut the fuck up. It's a dope song. The only thing missing is lil wayne.

  • You guys are all complaining faggot.

I actually really like this song, relax you fucking group of fags, not ever song is designed just for you, an album is an amalgamation of songs designed for slightly different demographics of people. Not every song is aimed directly for YOU and YOUR specific taste. Fags.

This would've been great for DEXTER!!

Very good pop tune, despite Rihanna's whiney voice being all over it. I dont get how a woman with such a limited vocal range sells so many records. 4/5 because she drags things down.

  • Chris Etrata

I listened to it again this morning when my head was cleared. Still sucks hard. Even the lyrics are uninspired for an eminem song. We get it, we should fight against our demons. Isn't that what Recovery was fucking about? Also, the beat is shit. I can see it maybe working better for Flo Rida because at least I knew it will be wack but this is eminem for fucks sake. Wasn't he going to take it back to straight hiphop, meaning not much pop if any? I don't care if the song was made for the radio. It's still wack as fuck. There are better songs out there that combined rap with pop like HOly Grail.

instant crossover radio smash. this record is going platinum easily. in terms of musicality and appeal this is a great song, but in terms of a hiphop track this is weak and we are hearing a redundant and sell out version of eminem.

  • Anonymous

he dropped rap god for hip-hop fans. this for radio so just move on. 3/5

  • Ricardo

Granted, this isn't exactly what I, as well as many others, want to hear on his forthcoming album. But the track as a whole isn't too bad. Decent verses dropped by Em'. 2.5/3 out of 5

  • 614grind

He gotta make sure he goes plat, now. The man has 21 songs on his album so relax.

  • Anonymous

which clown produced this track lmao this is recycle bin material

    • Chris Etrata

Frequency produced this track, who is joell Ortez's main producer. He also produced one MGK track. It sounds like shit doesn't it?

  • Joe

  • AYO

It's really not that bad, actually. Okay so it has a pop vibe to it, big deal. It's a pretty good balance to the hardcore lyricism that Eminem is spitting.

    • Anonymous

Sucks that if you post a comment supporting anyone these days you are automatically considered as being a, "Stan". GTFOH with that bullshucks. It's a pretty decent song. Artists have to have balance on their albums in order to reach the masses, but hip hop heads are always hating. Probably the worst music fans out there!

    • AYO

U mad coz I'm one of the few and rare people that thinks this song doesn't suck? Hater.

    • Anonymous

      Reach much??? Stan the Man

  • Anonymous

why is eminem making these gay ass pop songs with rihanna and a lollipop beat . it's eminem for fucks sake its still going to do 1 million first week . this is why you should know to use twitter or facebook and find out how many fans you have and to see what they have to say

  • Anonymous

What kind of a rapper raps over a adam levine or one direction throwaway sounding beat? Even Drake doesn't stoop down to this level . Fucking corny track !

    • Anonymous

word son this is straight garbage drake is total garbage too but his album had better pop songs

    • M'Deazy

Why do all the real G's and OG's respect love and wouldn't dare beef Eminem but all wanna slap Drake? Go check Beanie Sigel. Drake should have been used on this hook he's that pop just like Rihanna and Chris Brown but Em don't need him ymcmb or mmg on his album and it will outsell all of their projects

    • M'Deazy

Drakes album is called take care forgive me if im wrong but that's not hip hop more like a mariah carey album loool

    • MDeazy

If a song about being crazy is pop then you lot don't know what's going on, he's addressing personal issues that's what hip hop his he ain't talking about how it hurts cos a girl left him loool fuck faggot ass Drake hiis musics fake go check him on youtube he's a straight pussy not hip hop never will be

    • Anonymous

Exactly what i was thinking even Jay Z and Lil Wayne are as mainstream as Eminem and don't do none of this gay ass shit .

    • Drake Til Infinity

Drake came in the game with his boys: 40 & Boi 1da. They have their own sound, they always have. Now Drake sometimes does get producers from outside but if he does they adapt to Drake's sound--often 40 will co-produce with outside producers. For example Take Care which is done by Jaime XX fits Drake's style, it's not a generic Adam Levine throw away like this.

  • Drake Til Infinity

Eminem hasn't cared about hip-hop in a decade. All he cares about is green. Eminem is a culture vulture. The stans justifying this garbage are sad, real sad.

  • Anonymous

So based on all these views of a mediocre song, is it fair to say we can pinpoint the demo that frequents this site? 2.5/5

  • Phamous

This isnt MMLP2... This is some other shit. It'll sell cause its Eminem, but he could of really made a solid sequel, but instead we get some poppy R&B bullshit... Anyways... Me no likey.

  • G

dope beat, good for radio spin, always good to hear eminem again

  • ShystyOne

Solid radio track, we all know it. Nothing wrong with that, it's good music

  • puffyy420

I would love 2 say this shit is 2 pop or he's 2 old n fell off but em is still killing every verse he spits n still on top of his game!!! He aint the same rapper he use 2 b but he's still better than most in the game!!! Bow 2 the rap god!!!

  • Anonymous

Eminem knows what he is doing. All you all saying this is too pop-ish? yes it is pop, but the point is to grab attention and this will get so much radio play then his album will sell millions. I think its a good song

  • whatwhat

idk y eminem insists on making these supposedly "cathcy" songs. It's not 2000 anymore. It isn't necessary. How can the same guy who made Rap God make a song like this? He basically just killed his hype from Rap God by regressing to this. I don't think you need a "radio" song to promote an album anymore.

    • ohwhat?

Well that some fucking bullshit. He shouldn't make catchy songs to sell his music? Dude, what acid have you been on? Of course the songs should be catchy. If not they woudn't be any good, and do not misunderstand me - the lyrics is also damn important. Em' kills this track. Rihanna on the other hand, I could understand.

  • Anonymous

people want old Eminem back but if Em did go back to that what would people say ? "he's trying too hard to live in the past", "he never changes his flow" . . Em is growing and maturing as an MC and person, let him do whatever the fuck he wants no one's forcing anyone to love him.

    • whathwhat

I don't think this song is what he wants to make to be honest. I think ever since he release My Name Is he has been forced to try and create a hit for every album that can be radio friendly and draw buzz from outside the general rap demographic. He's mentioned on The Way I Am and several other songs on how he can't top those days.

  • elton john

lyrics as always are on point minus the yodeling, but still has a story and a passion behind his raps, the country sound and rhianna on the hook not so much. hard for me to bump it n accept it, plus as an em fan rhi n eminem features are just pure garbage n he uses it for exactly what it is/ going to be a radio hit or (just over played).. but look at ems tack recrd most of hi singles are always kinda ehhh so its expected. those of you who were expecting a "hate fags the answers yes" marshal mathers lp with the "sequel" your a fool. this dude like 41 years old, hes grown and went through way more in his life aka drugs loss of proff, fame, etc so u gotta expect it to be more i na positive light. but at the end of the day still a wack ass rhianna colab with a prmising title that didnt live up to the name.

  • Greg

Em still got bars but from the song title (and no surprise) seems like Rihanna gave this n*gga the monster aka aids

  • JaceShadoe

not bad. this track will get the general public buzz.

  • dlo

great pop song this will sell shit loads

  • What

Em is a top 5 mc ever, but dude need to just retire, dude said this was going to be mm2?? please, these songs he release aint nothing like mm. Plus em best album overall is Eminem show, then mm then slim shady lp.

    • Anonymous

no he didn't if you read he said: "Calling it The Marshall Mathers LP 2, obviously I knew that there might be certain expectations. I wouldn't want to call it that just for the sake of calling it that. I had to make sure that I had the right songs and just when you think you got it, you listen and you're like, 'Fuck, man. I feel like it needs this or that,' to paint the whole picture. So there's not gonna be, like, continuations of every old song on there or anything like that. To me, it's more about the vibe, and it's more about the nostalgia."

  • Former Em Stan

Eminem the pop rapper strikes again. This is the rapper who dissed britney spears and nsynch but is now making opo music himself with pop artists. Whats next a song with Miley Cyrus?

  • Stan

I didn't even hit the play button yet and it's still a 5/5!

  • HunnaBandz

u niggas be trippin fo real eminems old shit sucks dick i did nt lik his first two albums the eminem show is ok the next two encore and relapse are trash recovery is his best album.it got club bangers lik wtp and great music lik not afraid and spacebound and this song is great too i will download this album when it leaks if it has songs lik monster and survival . eminem is startin to get his swag up yo . the only thing this album is missing is a drake ti or kirko bangz feature .

  • Fist Melts in Yo Mouth

If Marshall talks slick about Kim on a record he's going to get mollywopped. Nick Cannon still looking for him.

  • w h o k n o w s

Em is dope... the hook is aight... 4/5

  • Anonymous

look at this nigga rapping over a maroon 5 or katy perry type beat, the same type of pop stars he was dissing . it's almost ridiculous how I used to bump mmlp , sslp , tes and relapse all the time .Really disappointing when you look up to someone in terms of rapping and to see your favorite rapper become a cheap sellout .

You're right, so dissapointing. The man does featuring with Rihanna, skylar, pink, maroon 5, bruno mars... Where are nas, busta, 50, yela...

  • Tim Skalba

    Jon Bellion Wrote the chorus.

  • aerosol

I think alot of you guys haven't really been listening to the lyrics, I guess beats matter more these days. I think the beat is not that good, it misses some hiphop vibe, but the lyrics, the story and the song in general are pretty good.

  • So Icy Boi!

what's wring with this song bitches? I used to be a big Eminem hater, his old shit sucks, but since Recovery he makes much better hip hop for radio and clubs. I like that, such real hip hop. if he continues to make more hot songs like this he can be my 27th best rapper after Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and many tothers. swag

  • Jj

All u haters shit the fuck up.. There is a reason y so many of u fucks comment on every song he drops. Song is dope. Dudes that don't even like em still come in an comment wats that telling u

    • G-funny

Most of these people you call haters were fans of eminem at a certain time of his career. This song is fucking horrible. If eminem makes a good song like Rap God i am willing to give him credit for it just like i did in the past. So maybe that's your definition of hating. Than by all means i'm a big fucking hater and this song is like getting raped in the ear.

  • Nil13

People will always hate no matter what he does. Even if he would make a better Album than "The Marshall Mathers LP" People would be not happy. People simply have no joy in their lives so they are always hating.

  • Nasstill@it

Pop music "smh". Not anticipating this album anymore.

  • truth

Listened again today and this still sucks. I know he has to have a radio track to appeal to everyone but this beyond a joke. Real slim shady, without me etc type singles are better than this. Whatever happened to standing out from the crowd and doing you own thing? Now he is just following the crowd. That Dr dre guy..isnt he ment to be a producer haha.

  • foursix

Being honest, the chorus probably saves this.

Eminem fans are ridiculous, this is literally one of the worst hip hop tracks of the year. It's utterly cringe-worthy from start to finish. Em has become the very thing he used to openly mock and criticize. Good job on slapping your real fans in the face by calling this forthcoming turd of an album MMLP2 Marshall.

    • Swag

same f*ggot I'm sure who thought the control verse killed the game. Sit down gump n*gga

    • Jeff

Hoho score man! And that will save the entire album and make it a real rap album like MMLP1?? So I guess you think you have a point there, so one rapper featured on a rap album is okay for you ?

    • Mac

didn't know that kendrick is a pop star

    • Jeff

I agree with you man, I have been an eminem fan from the MMLP1 (the first well known album in France) but seriously I can't take this crap anymore, this song sucks! Eminem sounds good only when he performs on featuring with real hip hop beats. Seriously, releasing an rap album that only features pop stars???

    • Anonymous

Keep your mouth shut bro, no one is on here looking for this one anonymous guys' opinion. If you don't like it steer clear from it because there's no reason for you to be all over Hip hop DX's nutts talking about shit that really doesn't matter. It will still sell at least 5 million before it's all said and done. So in the long run your $14 dollars don't even matter bro, I'll buy 2 to cancel your bitch ass out!

  • dx

God come on people it would never be late to judge MMLP2 after it's release. Some dudes were really excited about Rap God, and now they are frustrated and then express doubts about MMlP2 and even Eminem's rapping skill! That's ridiculous. Let's wait and see.

  • TNC

  • IsHulle!!!

Dope as FUCK!!! Keep on hating motherfuckers but Em is here and will always be here to fuck shit up!!! Believe in TEAM SHADY!!! SHADY 2.0

  • Cee

He killed it keep not listening and calling it what u want

  • Anonymous

U clowns and trolls on this site calling this pop and that pop stfu.. Are u hearing his bars on this track? Or just dismissing it cus Rihanna's on the hook? Don't jay, nas, kayne, and every other rapper put r&b chicks on their hooks ? I love straight hardcore rap too that's where Em comes from but didn't u hear him on rap god. He tried to explain it to u dumbasses. He's a legend in the game and he's fucking 40 he's rapping about real life shit u fools pay attention.
