When Missy sprung on the scene years ago many thought she would be a flash in the pan artist. But Missy has once again proved that originality goes a long way. Under Construction is definitely Missy’s best album to date. Missy takes us to the lab and allows us to hear everything within her soul. After the passing of Aaliyah, Missy has a newfound love for life. She still spits notes about sex harder and a little more seductively than any other female artist in the Genre today.

On “Bring the Pain” featuring Method Man, Missy talks about bringing the sexual pain over the original “Bring The Pain” track which was done by Meth himself. “Gossip Folks” is an ode to all the crab ass haters who simply talk too much. We’ve heard all the rumors about who Missy is sleeping with. On this album she puts all the rumors to rest without telling on herself. Basically she tells the haters to mind their own business. The smash “Work It” shows Missy at her sexual best once again. “Back in The Day” is another tribute to old school Hip-Hop. They were the days of when the music was fun and exciting and cats weren’t getting shot up in every other verse. Hip Hop has changed, but Missy recaptures the days of old with visual notes that bring the track to life and Jigga man Jay-Z adds his own New York twist to the days of old as well. There is old school flavor all over the album. On “Funky Fresh Dressed” missy and Miss Jade spit bar for bar and push out yet another cub banger. With samples from M.C. Lyte and The Beastie Boys and Timbaland on the board you can’t go wrong. “Pussycat” is a self-explanatory title and the song is about just what is suggests. “Nothing Out There For We” featuring Beyonce Knowles is another radio ready hot joint. It’s about true love and sisters who have found it and want to do nothing but keep it.

The album is simple yet original and it encompasses a style that’s all Miss E’s. Cop the clean version if you buying it for your seeds, but cop it none the less.
