Devin The Dude - Waiting To Inhale

Everyone has opinions. I can respect that - to each their own, as the saying goes. That doesn't mean I can respect the opinions of others. So what opin's can lead to swift dismissal from me? Listening to a Devin The Dude album and not becoming a fan

Redman - Red Gone Wild

Don't be foolish enough to expect any new and improved Reggie Noble; he may not be permanently clad in a bubble goose, timbs and a tissue stuck up his nose on that PPP shit, but Red Gone Wild is still some good ol' Brick City mashin.

Young Buck - Buck The World

Buck makes up for a lack of originality and artistry with a consistent bar-to-bar tenacity, charisma that appropriately seesaws for the occasion and his gruff, southern drawl that somehow sounds perfect on every track.

Evidence - The Weatherman

The Weatherman LP marks the first solo outing for the producer who's been hard at work over the past few years crafting tracks for some of the undergrounds elite.

J Dilla - Ruff Draft

His popularity hasn't yet crested nor has his name been cheapened - a la Tupac - by scores of lechers looking to make a quick buck off of yet another subpar remix album. Dilla is an artist people will listen to many years from now.

El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead

El-P's hyper-intelligent paranoia raps are every bit as cinematic and affecting as his 2025 post-apocolypse New York soundtracks.

Domingo - The Most Underrated

Domingo has supplied some of the most definitive beats for more than a decade and is every bit as responsible for carving the classic East Coast flavour as damn near anybody out there.

8Ball & MJG - Ridin' High

They won't give you much in terms of lyrics, actually. But if you simply want to enjoy some good old 8Ball and MJG, some bangin' beats and some pimp game, go ahead and ride high with the Memphis duo.

Rich Boy - Rich Boy

By the time you hit the trifecta of the Needlz produced Gangsta, Brian Kidd's Get To Poppin' and Outkast producer Mr. DJ's And I Love You, it becomes very apparent that the only reason you're listening to this album is for the production

MC Serch - M.any Y.oung L.ives A.go" The 1994 Sessions

ast year, Serch dug through dusty boxes in his basement and came up with this: M.any Y.oung L.ives A.go: The '94 Sessions. That's quite an apt title because this album definitely acts as a Delorean.

Black Milk - Popular Demand

Not every one of these 15 tracks knocks it outta the park, but you nevertheless get a strong sense that Milk (who also engineered, mixed and provides the majority of the rhymes) is a one-man wrecking crew just beginning to hit his stride

Consequence - Don't Quit Your Day Job!

Despite its drawbacks, Don't Quit Your Day Job! is still a solid debut from Consequence and another winner in the GOOD Music catalog. Let's just hope that his sophomore set fills in the blanks.

The Notorious B.I.G. - Life After Death

What's more important is to recognize why this album was not as good as it was originally perceived as well as pointing out a few reasons why this could have been easily just as good, if not better, than Ready To Die

The Notorious B.I.G. - Ready To Die

This is the climate that Big enters in 1994 when he unleashes his Ready to Die. Undoubtedly serving as B.I.G .'s defining work, the album is as reflective as The Wonder Years, only it's filled with painful recollections instead of fond memories

The Pack - Skateboards 2 Scrapers

The foursome, consisting of Lil Uno, Lil B, Young L and Young $tunna, have been embraced, simultaneously by the "Hyphy" movement and the skate-rap scene that's popped up over the past year.

Little Brother & Mick Boogie - ...And Justus For All

To be blunt, why so many people don't think a post-9th Wonder LB is worth a damn is beyond me. Don't get me wrong, 9th is ill and deserves all the love he gets, but Pooh and especially Phonte are the absolute truth when it comes to mic controlling.

BG & The Chopper City Boyz - We Got This

After success, addictions, beefs, and break ups, B.G. is back and his new crew, The Chopper City Boyz are releasing the posse LP We Got This. Don't be misled. You won't find too much B.G. on this.

Hell Razah - Renaissance Child

Hell Razah's debut suggests that, even if the Wu-Tang Clan never makes another album, the group's storied Hip Hop legacy rests in some extremely capable hands.

DJ Five & Pizzo - Backpack Thugs 2006

Over the course of 28 tracks it will often leave you pondering the kind of music we'd hear if there weren't so many lines drawn in the sand by genre classifications, label red tape and financial discrepancies.

Bobby Valentino - Special Occasion

Bobby definitely gives us a product that you can play from start to finish with Special Occasion giving the listener an intimate insight into what makes him one of the hottest commodities on the R&B market today.
