The same week that veteran underground emcee Apathy [click to read] releases his latest, Wanna Snuggle? [click to read], it has just been announced that the Demigodz member will join forces for another release this December. Teaming up with Ryu of veteran west coast Hip Hop outfit Styles Of Beyond as well as producer Scoop Deville (son of Latino Rap pioneer Kid Frost), The Get Busy Committee plans to release Uzi Does It on Veteran’s Day, November 11.

Both Apathy and Styles Of Beyond suffered the slings of major label shelf-lives. The Connecticut emcee had a lengthy, unfruitful tenure at Atlantic Records while the once Divine Styler-mentored group was among many underground Rap acts signed in the mid ’00s to Warner Brothers.

Last month, Apathy explained to DX the significance of this side project: Get Busy Committee might be a real big deal ‘cause of some of the moves we’ve made,” said Ap. “Like, my album is underground. Demigodz is super underground. But Get Busy Committee is gonna be something really fuckin’ crazy. We have Topspin Media behind us. We have [Mike] Shinoda behind us. We got the dudes at MySpace Music heavily behind us. So Get Busy Committee is gonna be something else…[And] if you don’t like it, I don’t know what to tell you,” added Ap. “I don’t really give a fuck.”

The album is 100% self-released. In addition to CD and digital formats, Uzi Does It will also limited release on USB drives shaped like automatic machine guns.
