A bench warrant was issued for Beanie Sigel [click to read] after the rapper did not show for his Monday (Sept. 14) court date in New Jersey.

Sigel
, real name Dwight Grant, was to appear in court for a marijuana possession charge. State police stopped the rapper and three others in August while Sigel was en route to perform at a show.

He was arrested when police discovered under 50 grams of marijuana in his possession. Two others – driver Karl Dargan, 24, and passenger Justin Gaines, 25, were also charged.

Beanie Sigel‘s latest album, Broad Street Bully [click to read], is in stores now. It has been described by Siccness Records label head Nemo Mitchell as more of a mixtape than a solo album.
