Many rappers have made the jump from music to film and 50 Cent seems to be on that mission this year more than ever before. He’s already got several projects lined up for the years ahead including work with Forest Whitaker [click to read] and Jermaine Crawford [click to read]. He’s even got a film version of his upcoming album in the works [click to read]. Now, he’s adding a new cop drama to the calendar, according to Variety [click to watch].

This is a new step for 50, who will be starring as a gangbanger-turned-informant in the film, because it will have Jackson executive producing as well. Chris Lighty and Tim Roth will join him as executive producers while newcomer Brian Miller will make his directorial debut with the film. 50’s partner, through their company Cheetah Vision Films, Randall Emmett and R.D. Miller will be producing the film.

Chris Klein, Adam Rodriguez and Richard T. Jones will star alongside Jackson.
