JoJo Simmons [click to read], son of Run DMC [click to read] front man Rev. Run [click to read] released a short statement via Twitter on his Friday arrest for marijuana possession.
Simmons was arrested on charges of resisting arrest, attempted reckless endangerment, and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
“I’m alright everybody!”Simmons wrote on his Twitter page.

Simmons’ older sister, Vanessa also offered support for her little brother via Twitter. “As humans we all make mistakes. They make up your life lessons and experiences,” she wrote before adding, “JoJo is ok, he just made a[n] oops.”
According to reports, after Simmons purchased the marijuana, he was spotted rolling a blunt in public, which drew attention from the police.
Rev. Run has not issued a comment on the arrest.
