A perceived beef was apparently sparked this weekend during Joe Budden‘s Boston performance. According to parties close to the situation, Edo G and other emcees feld disrespected when Budden asked for the stage to be cleared.

A video [click to watch] of the event finds Joe saying the following:

“All the niggas in the back, who have nothing to do with Joe Budden, please exit stage left…please, please, please, please…none of the girls–just the niggas. We don’t need a fencing fight, a sausage party, a testicle festival…Security, or whoever is involved here, I got a long three-hour set. I need all these niggas in the back the fuck away from me. It might be one of Saigon‘s niggas back here.”

The situation was addressed by Edo G and DJ On&On of JAM’N 94.5, WJMN FM, at which point, both voiced their displeasure with Joe‘s actions [click to listen].

“Honestly, if I wasn’t a promoter on that show and just a host, he would have caught it,” said Edo G. Joe Budden would have caught it period. You don’t disrespect everybody who’s onstage. I think he just came out and thought there was a bunch of Internet soldiers there. I guess he didn’t know there was some real Boston soldiers in the building. If he comes back here it might be a really different scenario.”

For his part, Budden has dismissed any talk of being banned in the Boston area [click to listen]; he has an upcoming show in Cape Cod.

“Feelings are self-implemented,”Budden explained, when calling back in to On&On‘s Launchpad Radio show. “They didn’t get these feelings because of something I did or said. They felt some type of way for whatever reason they felt some type of way. I wasn’t disrespectful. I was hired to do a service. Joe Budden loves Boston. I don’t care what Edo G says. I don’t care what anybody else says.”

On&On said he hoped to avoid future incidents by not replaying the audio of he and Edo G giving their take on Budden‘s performance. And for his part, Joe reiterated his love for Boston saying, “I have nothing but love for Boston in the people in it. It’s one of my highest-selling markets. So it would be stupid to go to Boston and start a beef.”
