According to several reports, rapper Lil’ Wayne has missed a court appointment that was scheduled earlier this week due to an emergency dental problem.
Lil’ Wayne was scheduled to appear in a Yuma County, Arizona court on Tuesday to face charges stemming from an arrest on January 22. But according to Lil Wayne‘s lawyer, James Tilson, the rapper had an emergency dental procedure in which he had several root canal operations and was urged by his dentist not to travel.
“As a result, the court waived his appearance for that hearing,”Tilson told the Yuma Sun. “He still must appear at future hearings.”

The charges Lil Wayne is currently facing are possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons, possession of drug paraphernalia, transportation and or sale of a narcotic drug, and transportation or sale of a dangerous drug.
Lil Wayne has pleaded not guilty to all of the above charges and the next court date will be on October 9.
