After seven years of marriage and a successful business relationship with her husband, Kimora Lee Simmons has officially filed for divorce.
Filed March 26th in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Simmons cited irreconcilable differences as the primary reason for the separation, according to TMZ. Although the two have been seen having rumored romantic relationships outside of their marriage, the legal actions are currently taking place.
Concerns regarding their marriage began to erupt in March 2006 when Russell Simmons reportedly filed for divorce, yet Kimora quickly discredited those claims saying that they did not know what the future held.

As of now, Kimora is requesting full custody of their two daughters and that they are “accompanied at all times by the children’s nanny and security personnel.” However, she is asking to limit Russell’s time with them by requesting “reasonable child visitation.”
While celebrity divorces tend to leave one party unsatisfied, Russell has already released a statement to TMZ expressing his relief and satisfaction.
“Although I haven’t read the papers, I’m excited for closure on this issue. I love her to def and I will always wish her happiness and success,”Russell’s rep stated.
