Q recently spoke with Vulture about the lukewarm love his singles normally get from people on social media, but then go on to be Billboard hits. He names “Studio” featuring BJ The Chicago Kid and “THat Part” featuring Kanye West as two of the tracks he got flack for.

“Oh yeah. ‘Kanye wasted a verse,'” Q recalled. “They were saying I paid Kanye. Bro, I never paid nobody for a verse in my life. It’s like little nerd dweebs […] They hate every single I drop.

“I don’t get it. Whatever, the shit always crack. Every fucking single I drop goes platinum. I’m just trying to figure it out. What do you niggas really hate? Stop listening to it if you hate it.”

He was served papers while in Cook County Jail and apparently didn’t understand what they meant, so he ended up missing his court appearance.

The legal docs filed by his attorneys say he “suffers from a learning disability that adversely affects his ability to read” and that he was “overwhelmed.”

They are asking the judge to reconsider.

“There is a million stories from that tour,” JB told DX. “I will tell you that me and Chuck D got real close. I admired him so much because I’m younger so I hung on to every single word he said. And I remember one night, I forget what city we were in, but we took this long walk — just the two of us.

“I literally fell in love with him that night and it was just because of a conversation. He just told me things like, ‘Do this, do that, make sure that you’re always the same, don’t change.’ Just knowledge. He just kicked knowledge to me and I was just like, ‘Oh my gosh, I love this guy.’”
