New York, NY

YBN Almighty Jay has been a heavy topic of conversation since he was brutally assaulted and robbed in New York City over the weekend. Despite being hospitalized and needing roughly 300 stitches in his face, he has made a swift comeback with a video for “Let Me Breathe.”

The track addresses the violent altercation that will undoubtedly leave him with a significant scar across the bottom of his face.

“I guess it’s time to wake ’em up, ’cause they been sleep on me/They say negative shit every time they speak on me/My momma scared to look me up, ’cause what she see on me/My face carved good, so I don’t need to keep I.D. on me,” he raps.

Toward the end of the video, a clip of a Wendy Williams talking about the altercation plays in the background as a photo of Almighty Jay in the hospital pops up behind her.

The 19-year-old Houston native was reportedly cut in the face after one of his attackers broke a Hennessy bottle over his head, leading to the hospitalization.

In an Instagram post teasing the “Let Me Breathe” video, Almighty Jay thanked everyone for the love, but especially Dream Doll who he says was endlessly supportive throughout the ordeal.
