YBN Almighty Jay’s violent altercation over the weekend was more serious than originally thought. TMZ reports the burgeoning rapper was actually stabbed repeatedly during another assault following the initial scuffle at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York City.

In the wee hours of Saturday morning (March 9), Almighty Jay was reportedly jumped by several men in the lobby of a Manhattan residential building. After he tried to flee, that’s when things got ugly. Sources say not only was he stomped on and robbed, he suffered head and facial lacerations when someone broke a Hennessy bottle over his head.

As a result, he spent a couple of days in the hospital where his face was essentially sewn back together.

According to a press release, “He received 300 stitches for a face laceration after being repeatedly stabbed, beaten and robbed by an anonymous group of men chasing viral fame.”

Law enforcement sources said police responded to a call about a brawl inside the lobby of the building around 12:30 a.m. local time and found the 19-year-old Houston native bleeding from the face. He was rushed to the hospital and treated for his injuries.

Almighty Jay initially reported the incident to the police but became uncooperative when they asked to interview him. A group of witnesses also refused to give their account to the authorities.

Rap-A-Lot Records founder J. Prince issued a call-to-action to several prominent Bronx-bred industry figures on Instagram, alleging Zae Numbafive and his crew were responsible for the attack on his “son” Almighty Jay. He wanted Cardi B, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Funkmaster Flex, Fat Joe and others to get to the bottom of it.

While the gesture was seemingly well intended, it didn’t go over too well with Mysonne, who scolded Prince for his approach.

Following Prince’s Instagram post, Zae taunted him in a video clip by waving the allegedly stolen Rap-A-Lot chain in front of the camera.
